PHASE ONE ENGINEERING SHORT COURSES
Engineering –  Levels of training Level 1 – BASIC NEW STARTERS LITTLE OR NO KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Level 2 – INTERMEDIATE LIMITED EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE LITTLE OR NO FORMAL TRAINING Level 3 - ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE SOME FORMAL TRAINING

Engineering –  Attendance options Each full level of training = 540 hrs 3 Options: Option 1 Full-time 18 weeks @ 30 hrs/wk Option 2 Part-time day * 34 weeks @ 15 hrs/wk Option 3 Part-time evening* 48 weeks @ 10 hrs/wk * Includes an initial full-time induction period
Engineering  – Training elements All programmes have 3 training elements: Practical  Theory  Key skills  (20 % ) (80 % )
Engineering  – Training content Practical content  (NVQ): 8 units – 3 generic; 5 specific Theory content: Under-pinning knowledge  (Technical Certificate) Key Skills content: Application of number Information Technology Work ethics
