The document discusses WebRTC and its capabilities for real-time communications. It notes that WebRTC was introduced in 2005 and adopted by Google for use in Hangouts. It has now grown to over 200 initiatives. WebRTC allows for real-time video, voice, and data sharing across browsers without plugins. The document then discusses how NETSTAIRS offers a WebRTC solution called NS RTC for industries like banking, retail, travel, and more to enable low-cost real-time communications. It highlights security features and pricing models for NS RTC.

One of the most famous brands and by far the biggest telco provider in Switzerland, Swisscom takes a very pro-active approach to security and creating a trusting environment for its customers. Because Swisscom provides such a broad range of services – landline and mobile phone, mobile payments, cloud data hosting, health records storage and so much more – it required powerful Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities. The company’s security vision and overall goal was all about data protection, privacy and sharing, yet also to give subscribers the power to determine what to share, with whom and through the channel of their choice. To implement this vision, the company built out its own Swisscom Cloud architecture with an Identity Broker (IDB) component powered by ForgeRock technologies. By implementing a ForgeRock solution, Swisscom was able to reduce costs spent on administration and significantly upgrade ease of use for its customer base, while also increasing sharing options across service offerings.

Could Iot be WebRTC's greatest source of innovation? (The IIT RTC Conference ...Brian Pulito
Few technologies have the potential to benefit from IoT the way WebRTC can. In many ways, these technologies are a perfect match. IoT networks built on technologies such as MQTT are a perfect signaling platform for WebRTC and are enabling new ways to connect "things" together using real-time media. In this new world almost any event can trigger the flow of media between endpoints. Whether it be a social media event triggering a broadcasted phone call or a video analytics event triggering a surveillance camera connecting to a supervisor, IoT networks are becoming the integration point for the world. This session will explore several WebRTC related IoT use cases along with open source tools that are being used in production today to integrate WebRTC with everything from analytics, to Arduino devices, to social media, and everything in between.
Everything runs on the data. For the Internet of Things (IoT), data collection plays a vital role in building communication with the customer. When we talk about mobile applications or desktop applications that need real-time actions and communications, we must stay that they are incomplete without WebRTC Solutions’ implementation.

The programmable telephone network has always intrigued me. As a developer, having the ability to create custom applications within the service provider network seems to have endless possibilities. I can envision all sorts of applications that make businesses more productive and consumers better informed. I can also envision business opportunities for service providers, offering hosted development platforms that developers can use to create new customer-facing services.
Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) is a means to offer an open API-based development environment to businesses of all sizes, allowing them to build custom business applications to improve their customer experience and better secure their data. Today we plan to explore opportunities for CPaaS, explain how service providers can integrate CPaaS into their existing networks and review a live customer case study of CPaaS in action.

Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) has been rapidly growing for the past 3 years gaining adoption from many corporations and industries around the world. Surpassing the one billion mark for compatible devices, WebRTC has sparked some heated debate around whether or not it’s a truly disruptive technology. In this presentation we will discuss the possibilities and the current applications built and running full WebRTC services, despite the lack of support in Internet Explorer and Safari and the codecs wars.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
