This document proposes building an interactive digital economy in Peru through 6 pillars: 1) hard infrastructure like fiber optic networks; 2) soft infrastructure like laws and regulations; 3) service infrastructure provided by the government; 4) promoting the digital economy across all sectors; 5) educating Peruvians on digital technologies; and 6) providing accessible digital knowledge. It discusses using information and communication technologies for social and economic benefits across government, business, education and society by creating an interactive digital corridor in Peru.

DE concept is about how to utilize ICT (information and
communication technology) for social and economic
benefits. Both, the governments and private sectors
have been working on this, but it has lacked synergy.
The DE concept would permeate all sectors of the
country: government, business, education, and society.
