Vale Church Welcomes the Sinifts

A

ndrew and Amanda Sinift began their ministry
in Vale on Sunday, October 27. Andrew grew
up in Tulare, CA and attended Northwest Nazarene
University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in
Christian Ministry. He has a strong pastoral call and
a desire to mentor others on a spiritual level. Some of
his ministry experience includes interning at Tulare
Wayside and Nampa Lakeview Churches of the Nazarene. He will work closely with Pastor Tim Brewer
and the Ontario Church in a PAC - Parent Afilliated
Church relationship.
Amanda has a heart for missions and was strongly
affected by her summer missions trip to Rwanda with
Youth with a Mission. She works for Unbefuddled in
Nampa, ID.

Pastor Andrew and Amanda are newlyweds
having married September 7, 2013.
We welcome the Sinifts to the Intermountain
District Team.

P

astor Brian Knight and his family are returning to the Intermountain District after pastoring in Cody, WY for the past five years. Brian
was raised in Fruitland, ID and gave his heart
to the Lord as a child during church camp at
Victory Cove. He attended Northwest Nazarene
University, majoring in religious education and
recently completed his master’s degree in missional leadership. Pastor Brian is big on relation-

ships and has a strong belief in the gospel, in the
Spirit-empowered life, and in the priesthood of ALL
believers. He is interested in anything that is a great
excuse to get to know someone. He has been known
to hurt himself doing some of those things . . . like
hunting.
The Knights met at NNU where Wendy earned
a degree in psychology. She has a history of helping in the church in a number of ways including:
discipling women one-on-one, participating in the
worship team, working with the youth group, and
practicing hospitality. Wendy enjoys working in the
garden, singing, and playing the piano.
Pastor Brian and Wendy have three children:
Sydney (18), Taylor (15), and Abby (12). All of
them enjoy hanging out with friends and using their
technology. Taylor also enjoys snowboarding.
November 17 will be the first Sunday at Emmett
Church for the Knights. We welcome them back to
the Intermountain District.
Thanks

to everyone who joined
us for Share the Dream
VII. What a tremendous evening as we celebrated what has happened over the past twelve
months with 180 friends and camp partners.
The goal of the evening was to receive pledges
and financial support in the amount of $100,000
for 2013-2014. We received over $36,000 towards that goal. We also had a special “carpet
auction” as we prepare to replace the carpet in
the dining hall of the Conference Center. We
will install 2’ x 2’ carpet squares and reinforce
the floor before the carpet is installed. Remember, this was the first building constructed at
Trinity Pines. Bill Downs auctioned off carpet
squares at Share the Dream and we received
financial support of over $18,000 towards that
project. The project is scheduled to be completed in November/December of this year.
Giving to either Share the Dream VII or the
carpet replacement project can be done online
at www.tpines.org. Pledge sheets for Share the
Dream VII can be secured by contacting the
Meridian Camps Office at 208-888-0988 and
speaking with Cindy Pusey.
