OUR VISION
To truly be the Church on the hill with the CROSS,
reaching out to the Gem Valley and beyond to the whole
world. We believe all generations need the Gospel, and
have a special concern for the younger generations to
come to Christ, and to His Church. Hence, we will remain committed to effective ministry to all age groups;
but we will specifically strive to strengthen our ministry
to youth, as God grants us opportunity.

WORLD MISSION PRAYERS
PRAISES
Thank you for praying for Phil and Paula Troutman as they awaited
entry visas to Angola. The Troutmans write, “ Just wanted to let you
know that we have received our visas in what appears to be record
time! It is certainly an answer to prayer. We leave for Angola on November 25. Thank you for your prayers!
PRAY FOR
As most of you know, several areas of the Philippines were hit on November 8 with one of the strongest storms ever recorded. As of this
time, thousands of lives have been lost, homes and businesses completely destroyed, and people are suffering. The following are some
specific ways to pray for the Church of the Nazarene as they respond
to people in need:
The church will be working in three provinces: Illoilo, Eastern
Samar, Leyte
There will be our areas of involvement: Distirbution of food packs,
blankets, and tarps; shelter; protection of children and women;
WASH (water, sanitation, hygiene).
Nazarene Co0mpassionate Ministries and Global Mission personnel are on the ground in Cebu City, which will be the jumping off
point for their travel by ferry to Ormoc City and then to Tacloban
by land. Pray for safe travels.
At Ormoc City, pray for the distribution of food packets and drinking water where 90% of the people have lost their homes.
In Tacloban City, the team reports that the area looks like post 2004 tsunami regions; looting of food distribution trucks is taking
place; people are in survival mode; the government is not able to
provide security for food/water distribution there, however, there
are currently no reports of people hurting aid workers. The government structure is destroyed and getting medical teams in to
help has been a challenge. Pray that roads will open and the
needed supplies and help will get to those in need.
The Church of the Nazarene in Tacloban is intact and could be
used as a staging area for medical teams. Pray for the Church to
bring light and hope to people suffering.
