• TAAI is a professional coordinating body of different segments of the travel
and tourism industry
• TAAI is the Nodal Association of India .
• TAAI is non political , non - commercial and a non - profit making
organization .
• TAAI is recognized as the main representative body of the travel and
tourism industry
Historical Development
• Established back in 1951 by N.J Katgara
• Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI ) is perhaps the largestTravel Association
of India .
• Started with just twelve travel agents ,TAAI has got a staggering 2400 members
under its banner with the objective to promote the interest of the Indian tourism
industry and the entities associated with it .
• Down the years ,TAAI has earned the reputation as the voice of theTravel and
Tourism industry in India by dint of their dedicated , dynamic and professional
service .

and an Affiliate member of the Southern AfricanTourism Services Association (

Historical Development • Established back in 1951 by N.J Katgara • Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI ) is perhaps the largestTravel Association of India . • Started with just twelve travel agents ,TAAI has got a staggering 2400 members under its banner with the objective to promote the interest of the Indian tourism industry and the entities associated with it . • Down the years ,TAAI has earned the reputation as the voice of theTravel and Tourism industry in India by dint of their dedicated , dynamic and professional service .

AboutTAFI • TAFI's membership today comprises of 1400 Active , Associate , Allied and Affiliate [Travel Service Intermediaries - Non IATA ) members from all over India.. • Over 70 % of the ticketing business is handled byTAFI members . • TAFI is a proud member ofWorldTravel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA ) and an Affiliate member of the Southern AfricanTourism Services Association ( SATSA ). • Recently had there 11 convention on the theme " Sustainable Success SmartWay Forward "
