Storytelling is an age old educational and newly re-purposed digital marketing technique that’s been “rediscovered” by social media and communications management gurus and thought leaders. Everyone loves a good story. Stories are important because they provide patterns
of a life lived and patterns to embrace or reject, depending on the outcome. Stories give us concrete examples of a sequence of events, a way of problem solving, and a blueprint of a script for you to follow or deviate from when embarking on your own script. Whether on a quest for truth, justice, or The American Dream, chances are there’s a story for that embedded in a book, movie, TV show, or video game app.Harnessing the power of storytelling, of identifying archetypes, and implementing that knowledge, together with your resiliency, will help you transition from me to we, especially when it comes to entrepreneurship and marketing yourself in terms of your service or product. It enables you to learn from others, empathize with them, and become more flexible and adaptive when your own story changes and/or intersects with another’s.

Even the most skeptical geek has to market themselves at some point in their career. All the jargon and tacky buzzwords can turn you away from the idea, but there are benefits to be had. And there's science to back up those benefits.
We know creative development research can sometimes feel like a way to kill great ideas. And we think that sucks. We’re here to make sure that doesn’t ever happen to you (again). Read on to learn how!

How do you give great presentations? How do you captivate an audience? How to you tell a story on a stage? This deck is filled with a handful of insights that answer these questions using inspiration from studying a handful of successful comedians.
How can you become more relevant to your audience? You can start by moving away from feature/function/data conversations and toward effective storytelling. We hear statistics. We FEEL stories. It's how we're hardwired as humans.
Howdy. Welcome to the latest Frisk special.
We’re deep into 2015 now – still not quite sure how that happened, something to do with the Higgs Boson probably – and it’s been making us think a lot about the subject of Loyalty.
Did you make a new year’s resolution? And if so, did you stick to it? We’ve found a fairly even split between people who’ve remained loyal to their self-imposed vows and those who gave up after about fifteen minutes...
Of course, Loyalty spreads much wider than simply remembering to cycle to work because you told everyone you would. Giles Hedger’s Admap piece, which you’ll find within, posits that we need to think about brand loyalty as an outcome of successful brand building. We’ve also spoken to Canvas8, who suggested that a key facet of building customer loyalty is to be a bit annoying and rude, as well as quizzing the team in Arc Sponsorship for their views on the loyalty journey. And, as ever, we’ve picked the brains of the Planning department to get their own entertainingly disparate views on the subject.
So, plenty there to stimulate the ol’ grey cells. I do hope that you enjoy what you read. If so – or indeed, if not – be sure to fire some feedback into the Twittersphere: the handle’s @LeoBurnettLDN.

Laughing is important, and humor can be used as a powerful tool in many situations. Humor helps us make sense of chaos using new perspectives. It enables us to discuss taboo topics with a sense of comfort. Laughing even leads to a number of health benefits. But humor can also be used for more practical situations — especially within the creative industry.
In this engaging workshop, you’ll join writer, comedian, and marketing strategist, Jon Savitt, to examine how comedy is used in marketing and why it leaves such a positive impact. The best part? You’ll walk away with tangible ways to apply humor to your everyday projects — even if you’re not a professional comedian. Takeaways like how you can improve customer loyalty, create more shareable content, build a more memorable brand, and more.

Talking Human, Speaking Social By Penina Rybak Penina Rybak

Crafting a digital avatar with heart is a necessity, not a luxury, in today’s tech-driven, globally connected, uber-competitive, and fast paced startup culture. A successful entrepreneur in the iEra needs to rethink the definition of community. Especially women entrepreneurs. Why? Because we are particularly effective social media users who are biologically hardwired to appreciate its global reach and accessibility. Because we can use empathy and collaborative skills to make it work for us by networking and acting on our understanding of the human mind and how buyers buy. That’s why humanizing one’s digital avatar and “talking human” is crucial to the social communication and social technology process. Entrepreneurship today is rife with opportunities to create, communicate, and collaborate with people in different locales, industries, and venues. Thanks to technology, especially social technology, ecosystems are being defined and refined on an almost daily basis, thus promoting disruptive innovation and new opportunities.

Tribute to Nelson Mandela: An Entrepreneurial Retrospective by Penina Rybak Penina Rybak
We are truly saddened to hear about the passing of Nelson Mandela, who singlehandedly taught present and future generations of children and adults what it means to be a self actualized human being, a thinker with self awareness of the essence of life and worth, and someone who practiced what so many just preach: stand up for what you believe in.
Nelson Mandela was a pilot in the truest sense of the word; for people in his country, but also for people worldwide.I think Nelson Mandela would have made a fantastic social entrepreneur, and an even better mentor in Real Time.I only have his virtual mentorship to guide me, his “voice” added to the many voices in my head, herding me on my own entrepreneurial journey. My CTA for more women to join the Entrepreneur Revolution, its sibling the Tech Revolution, and their offshoot; the social entrepreneurship movement.
How To Become a Better Female EntrepreneurPenina Rybak
For what is done or learned by one class of women becomes, by virtue of their common womanhood, the property of all women."
- Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell
I have a formula which has kept me a productive, thinking, creative, and enthusiastic human being over the years, ready for entrepreneurship in all its mess and glory:

TECH = CREATIVITY > CHANGE = ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The NICE Initiative for Female Entrepreneurship is a call to arms for women thinking there is a "right time" to be an entrepreneur! That's a myth! One needs to devote time/effort to accrue experience, tech savvy, and hone skills in a chosen field of study.
But today's global market, social media transparency and open source technology, thought leadership and virtual mentorship opportunities, and cultural trends driving commerce have all converged, to set the stage. It’s a GREAT time to become an entrepreneur, either right away when finished school, or by pursuing a second revenue stream!
Women in particular are unknowingly or knowingly positioning themselves to be linchpins. We CAN deploy meaningful disruptive innovation, especially but not necessarily, in the educational and healthcare sectors.
Our mindset, innate skill set, contributions to the changing social/economic/political climates, historic and biological tendency to gravitate to those arenas has given us the tools and experience to connect the dots.
When interviewed for her 2013 Glamour lifetime achievement award, Barbara Streisand gave 5 tips worth remembering, which I will interpret for female entrepreneurs using my NICE lens......
What Pilgrims Can Teach Female EntrepreneursPenina Rybak
Taken from my Huffington Post article on 11/18/13:
We American women need to kick-start a paradigm shift in the way business, education, and work/life balance are all viewed in this country. We need to come up with different solutions and outcomes, so that all people can flourish; not just pockets of people, scattered across this great country. There is much we can learn much from the history of the Pilgrims; about life, about entrepreneurship. Here are 3 lessons I've learned that I wanted to share at Thanksgiving time in the USA, November 2013.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

William holds various certifications in change management, quality, leadership, operational excellence, team building, and DiSC, among others.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
Cracking the Workplace Discipline Code Main.pptxWorkforce Group
