This document contains instructions for students to complete a questionnaire on the first day of their Intermediate English class. The questionnaire contains 9 questions for students to discuss in small groups about why they are studying English, their strengths and weaknesses in different skills, favorite activities, use of English outside class, strengths and weaknesses as a student, their learning journey, and expectations for the Intermediate class. After discussing the questions, students will submit their questionnaires as the first task of the new year.

6. QUESTION 2:What skills do you think you are good at? Why? (Speaking/Listening/Reading/Writing)

7. QUESTION 3:What skills do you think you are bad at? Why? (Speaking/Listening/Reading/Writing)

8. QUESTION 4:What are your favourite activities? (e.g. songs, role-plays, online activities, interaction with a partner, listening…)

9. QUESTION 5:Are you in contact with English outside the classroom?

10. QUESTION 6:As a student, what are your strengths? (e.g. hard-working student, good grammar/ pronunciation/ listening skills, committed student, autonomous learner, etc.)

11. QUESTION 7:As a student, what are your weaknesses? (e.g. pronunciation, listening skills, spelling, bad grammar, etc.)

12. QUESTION 8:Talk to your partner briefly about your English learning trajectory.
