The NHow Hotel in Berlin has a three-story cantilevered block that juts out from the top of the building. The cantilever extends about 70 feet and hangs 80 feet above the water. It comprises the upper three floors of the 11-story hotel. The end of the cantilever is fully glazed while the underside is clad in polished aluminum, creating a mirror effect. The cantilever was designed by German architects NPS Tchoban Voss to provide views of the river from the upper floors of the hotel while minimizing the building's footprint. The structural system comprises a flat plate that cantilevers out from the main building.
