The Henderson Bridge in Singapore is the highest pedestrian bridge in the country. It spans 284 meters above Henderson Road, connecting Mount Faber to Telok Blangah through seven curved "wave" spans. The folded three-dimensional surface was cleverly created through a mathematical equation to form an organic, continuous structure with ramps, railings, benches, and viewing areas. Constructed of steel arches, cables, and concrete pylons supporting a 1,500 square meter timber deck, the bridge opened in May 2008 to provide scenic walking and views along Singapore's southern coast.
