INTRODUCTION
Round table India is an organisation of non-political and non-secretarian
welcoming young men, aged between 18 and 40. It aims to promote service,
fellowship and goodwill in National and International affairs. Round Table India
provides a range of social and community service related opportunities through
fellowship of its members. . The Tablers of RTI form friendship, shape lives and
make substantial difference in the lives of people, beyond the organisation itself.
Round Table's motto is "ADOPT, ADAPT, IMPROVE"
Community Service Projects:
1. Freedom through Education
2. Blood Typing
3. Operation Thirst
4. AIDS Awareness
5. Project SMILE
6. Project Touch
Freedom Through Education:
RTI across the country started adopting projects aimed at providing quality school
infrastructure, and then in 1998 this project was formalized and thus born the
National Project of Round Table India “Freedom Through Education” - In pursuit
of educating underprivileged children.
Blood Typing:
Blood Typing, the National Project in 1992 enlisted over 30000 Blood Donors
across the country.
Project Jeevan was initiated to save lives through blood donation. It is simple
system to get blood at the time of need, and helps locate donors anywhere,
anytime.
6
Operation Thirst
Operation Thirst in 1993 was the first Community Development Project to provide
drinking water source to village people by sinking over 500 bore wells at a cost of
over Rs.10 Million.
AIDS Awareness
AIDS being the killer disease, its awareness was promoted by Round Table India
in the year 1994.
Project SMILE
Project SMILE, providing dental hygiene for rural children by conducting several
dental camps benefiting about 300,000 children in the year 1995.
Project Touch
In 1997, Round Table India launched "Project Touch" and we adopted 2000
orphan children in association with SOS Children's village at a cost of Rs.1.5
Million.
At Last these are the current Aims & Objects of Round Table
International:
1. To promote fellowship and understanding between Round Table Associations
worldwide;
2. To promote the formation of new Round Table Associations throughout the
world;
3. To initiate, develop and improve working relationships with Club 41
International and Ladies Circle International for fellowship, networking and Joint
Service objectives;
4. To promote and administer Joint Service Projects worldwide.
7
As Round Table wants to do something for society for that we
carried out research process of establishing RAIN BASERA:
Rain Basera is a temporary shelter home constructed by Government over the
portion of parking Lot. It is established for the wellbeing of the poorand needy
people where shelter and one time food is provided.
COST
Costvaries according to the number of persons and the area to be covered under
shelter. Like tent is built on basis of sq. feet required for particular no. of persons
and is charged accordingly. There are different costand expenditure for private
establishment and govt. establishment. But in both cases govt. approval is required.
Most of the shelters seemed to have a budget of Rs. 2 lakhs to 2.5 lakhs. In most of
the shelters, money has been spent on the maintenance of the shelter. The
caretakers and guards are contractual workers.
PRIVATE COST
75000 of tent built for 1 month for 100 persons which include 7rs per blanket and 8
rs per mattress. If the shelter is for less than 15 days, it is charged as 4000 per day
and if it is for more than 15 days it is charged on monthly basis.
GOV. COST
It same as private only the tent costis 60000. Generally govt. shelters are for 4-5
months.

Statement of the problem:-
Lack of Infrastructure:-
Thousands of schoolin India lack the infrastructure facilities
needed to provide the quality education which children are legally entitled to receive.
Lack of clean drinking water:-
Children in schools are badly affected by the lack of
clean drinking water. At present in India 1.8m children die before the age of 5 each year
due to water-borne diseases.
12
Errors in wall chart:-
On an average 35% of children in every classroom are visual
learners. Visual learners respond well to our classroomwords linked to pictures help
them to grasp and remember effectively and easily. But most of the schoolare confronted
with errors which results in negative consequences.
Improper uniform:-
Wearing uniforms in schools results in positive effects. A dress cord
enforces discipline towards learning and if students are not in uniform it seems they are
not in discipline and complexity arises among them.
Lack of Disciplinary action:-
Schooldiscipline is a system of Rules & Regulation which
aims to set limit restricting certain negative behaviours or attitude of children, if
neglected a schooldoes not seem to be working properly.
13
Improper Maintenance of school:-
Maintaining schoolfacilities is important to provide
good quality education. Moreover by investing in maintenance programme schoolcan
continue to serve students for longer period of time. School facilities faces a no. of
challenges. But it is of utmost important to overcome the challenges for the betterment of
the students and for schoolalso.
Mismanagement:-
There is a lot of mismanagement in school. The basic reason for this is
high level of corruption in working of schooland moreover its operations are under govt.
control. There is good efficient and sufficient teaching staff but not willing to teach
instead they do their personal work in work time. Even they ask their students to work for
them. List of wrong things done by the Management:
1) Ordering schoolchildren to come before the time and clean the schoolwhich
includes broom, sweeping and cleaning of utensils.
2) False attendance:- Marking present of absent student to show their registers filled
up with attendance.
3) Not teaching the student and asking them to do the household work of staff which
includes peeling of vegetables etc.
4) Just writing on the black board and asking students to copyit and even not worried
if they are copying or not. Moreover not explaining what they are teaching.
5) Correction of the note bookis not appropriate even wrong is marked as correctdue
to which children learn incomplete and wrong knowledge. Moreover it is also
quoted that incomplete knowledge is harmful than having no knowledge.

CHECKING SYSTEM IS GOOD
?
NOTEBOOK CORECTION DONE BY HEADMISTRESS
22
Aim and Objective of the Report:-
1) Cleanliness: There should be regular cleaning of schooldone by maid of the
school.
2) Infrastructure: Proper infrastructure which includes furniture and study
material should be available in sufficient quantity.
3) Quality education: Children should be taught with good education and even
should be taught how to maintain hygiene and be in discipline.
4) Inspection: There should be properregular inspection by the appropriate
authority so that there should not be any chances of being corrupted.
5) Management: Staff should be dedicated towards their work and should
provide education and think of students welfare instead of their own
priorities.
23
Limitations on research and results:
1) We were not allowed to do what we planning to do for the welfare of
children.
2) They were strictly bounding us to do what they want.
3) Most of the time they were asking us to takes leave. So that they can
continue their own work.
4) They were giving us information which was completely contradicting the
statement given by students.
24
Findings:
We did a deep study on the operation of schooland found that there was
blunder in the name of education going. It was only a schoolbeing operated to
safeguard the interest of staff.
Conclusions:
Our conclusion ends with that education cannot be provided until and
unless each and every personin the society works towards it. So we need to create
awareness among people to supportfor the education to rootlevel of society.
Recommendation:
 Creating awareness among society
 Properinvestment in education by Round Table Jaipur
 Regular inspection by bothfunding as well as operating partners
25
Contribution to the Company:
Our contribution to the NGO is listed below:
1) We taught the student how to maintain hygiene and be in discipline.
2) We taught them the conceptof basic primary education which they were not
having even after being in schoolfor 4 to 5 years.
3) We guided the funding partner (Round Table Jaipur) about the investment to
be done in school.
4) We carried out various investment research projects for Round Table Jaipur.
5) We carried out motivational and cultural activities in the schoolso that
students get motivated towards their studies.

Moreover by investing in maintenance programme schoolcan continue to serve students for longer period of time. School facilities faces a no. of challenges. But it is of utmost important to overcome the challenges for the betterment of the students and for schoolalso. Mismanagement:- There is a lot of mismanagement in school. The basic reason for this is high level of corruption in working of schooland moreover its operations are under govt. control. There is good efficient and sufficient teaching staff but not willing to teach instead they do their personal work in work time. Even they ask their students to work for them. List of wrong things done by the Management: 1) Ordering schoolchildren to come before the time and clean the schoolwhich includes broom, sweeping and cleaning of utensils. 2) False attendance:- Marking present of absent student to show their registers filled up with attendance. 3) Not teaching the student and asking them to do the household work of staff which includes peeling of vegetables etc. 4) Just writing on the black board and asking students to copyit and even not worried if they are copying or not. Moreover not explaining what they are teaching. 5) Correction of the note bookis not appropriate even wrong is marked as correctdue to which children learn incomplete and wrong knowledge. Moreover it is also quoted that incomplete knowledge is harmful than having no knowledge.
