2. I used Wikipedia during
research when looking
for information about
indie pop artists.
YouTube allowed me
to view artist’s music
videos and also
allowed me to upload
video research/
feedback about
existing music videos.
I used chrome 100% of
the time as it is a fast web
browser which allowed
me to complete work on
blogger quickly and
easily. I also used Google
for research into
locations/
costumes/artists etc.
Blogger allowed me to create
a blog which I could upload all
my research, planning and
construction work to. It has
been really easy to use and
has allowed me to work with all
different types of media to
plan and create my final
piece. I have also been able
to use it for the evaluation
section of my work. This product (Acer tablet)
allowed me to access all media.
For example, I used it to research
on the internet using chrome, I
could view YouTube videos and
I could also take notes for
planning and research using free
apps. I also used a blogger app
to publish posts directly from the
device.
I used this camera to take
images of suitable locations
during my research. I also
took images of my model in
her costume/ makeup.
3. I used PowerPoint in the
evaluation stages to
create diagrams of my
ancillary texts. I also
used PowerPoint to
create this slideshow
and uploaded it to ‘slide
share’ so that I could
embed it on my blog.
I also used this camera to
film my music video.
I used adobe premiere pro to
create my music video. I also
used it to create my TV
advertisement and it allowed
me to record sound from a
microphone straight into the
project.
Photoshop allowed me to
create my ancillary texts:
Poster and digipak. I could
edit images (e.g. black and
white) and also add
everything together to create
the final products.
The tablet also allowed me
to take separate ‘behind
the scenes’ images during
filming with my DSLR
camera and upload them
straight to blogger.
I also occasionally used
windows movie maker to
create short videos (e.g.
‘editing practice’) and I
also used a video creation
app from my tablet to
create audience feedback
on an existing music video.
I used my mobile phone
during filming to play the
sound track so that my artist
could sing along in time for
lip syncing.
