1.
2. Before doing any planning or research I created a
blog using Blogger. This was the best way to
record all my pre-production, production and
post-production and the easiest way organise
my posts with the freedom of editing whenever.
In addition, it allowed me to embed videos and
pictures.
I was also able to download the Blogger App on my
iPhone which meant I could blog from
anywhere with a good 3G connection!
4. When doing any music video research online,
YouTube was the website I used the most.
Here I could watch other music videos, and
also watch the scene’s from When Harry Met
Sally.
I also had some help from a similar video
sharing website...
5. When not on the computer I often took
advantage of my television when planning
and researching my music video.
I watched 4Music and Viva as much as possible
to widen my music video dictionary!
6. The majority of my music video was shot using a Samsung NX10.
It had a zoom lens and manual focus allowing me more control of my
shots.
It was very light and small so I was able to get the shots I wanted
without any hassle of manoeuvring the camera.
I also used an 8GB SD Memory card to hold all my footage on.
And after copied it on to my memory stick.
7. I also used another camera, the Canon 1100D. It was used for a scene in
my music video with the children, but was also used for the pictures in
my digipak. The manual focus and zoom again let me take my pictures
better.
8. iPhone
During filming we found that my iPhone was great help.
Doing the lip synching with the song playing out loud
was a good idea as it meant it was easier to get the
correct timing and beat. I was also able to get the lyrics
up on Safari on my phone!
9. Photoshop
This was the first time I had used Photoshop
and through this process feel like I have
learnt a lot. In the beginning I used this
programme to change and create certain
pictures. I then took the skills I learnt at the
beginning of the year and used them on my
digipak and poster. I used tools such as: the
cloning tool; magnetic lasso and the paint
brush.
10. Print screen’s of my using Photoshop for
various pictures in my ancillary texts.
11. Adobe Premiere Pro
This is the programme I used for the editing of my
music video. It allowed me to import all of my
footage and the pick out the shots I wanted in
my music video. I was able to add in my jump
cuts but using the cutting tool. I was also able to
add my fade transition at the end of my music
video, play with the colour grading and make
my lip synching look on time. I used this last
year, and feel fully comfortable with it as an
editing programme!
13. Within my evaluation media technologies I have used are:
Prezi
This enables me to do multi modal presentations by adding in
YouTube videos and pictures.
Premiere Pro & (school camera)
I used this camera to record the sound of my voice as I spoke
through the second evaluation
Premiere pro again let me edit my video, I removed the video of
myself and replaced it with pictures and titles.
Glogster
Allowed me to create an online poster, including pictures and
videos
Slideshare
Allowed me to upload this slideshow I originally did on
PowerPoint.
