This is a panel where people who have worked in television for over 5 years talk about their
experiences in television and how they got into the industry whilst giving advice on how to get
into the industry.
What did you learn?
I learnt that networking is very important, it’s good to have a lot of contacts as you’re more likely
to get a lot of experience and you’ll have people to go to for job opportunities.
I feel like I learnt a lot about the industry from this panel and hearing about all their individual
experiences made me realise that there are more career options in television then I had
previously realised.
One of the guest speakers mentioned that channel 4 have career opportunities shown on their
website so this was very helpful for possible future careers.
It’s always interesting hearing from people that work in the industry, so this felt like a very good
experience.
