This document provides examples of how students in grades 3-5 can meet the International Society for Technology in Education's National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) through various digital tools and activities. Some examples given include using Photoshop to create a digital presentation about themselves, using Excel to analyze plant growth data, tweeting about global issues like recycling and providing sources, and blogging about how texting has impacted relationships by allowing debate and polling. The overall message is that digital tools can be used to engage students in creative works, analyze data, investigate solutions, and debate topics while meeting the NETS guidelines.
