A project site area of 16 acres is
assigned to design housing facilities
for economic group sections: EWS,
LIG, MIG, HIG.
The overall site will accommodate
common recreational spaces to be
used by all the residents. The aim of
the project is to design comfortable
and affordable homes based on the
lifestyle of the people belonging to
these economic sections.

5. Architecture has been a practice that has
progressed by the need to create shelter.
Affordable housing (AH) implies that the cost
of the housing should be affordable to the
income group like LIG, EWS and the poor.
This project needs a strategic planning since
every design aspect directly affects the final
results of creating a neighbourhood. Planning
will be analysed through Social, Physical and
economical aspects.
The typologies of the residences are maily
classified based on the economic factor i.e
income of a family.
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) refers
to those citizens or households with income
below poverty line or household income below
1,00,000 INR per annum.
Low Income Group (LIG) refers to households
with income class between 1,00,000 INR to
2,00,000 INR per annum.

Hospitals, being an
essential and important
facility to people, it is
important to be sensitive
to the design requirements
of the space. Functionality
of the design has far more
significance in this project
- this has been achieved
through understanding the
circulation
patterns of both staff and
patients to provide a
harmonic flow of space.

defining role in this design due to the
numerousundulations throughout the
site. The design will cover an aca-
demic block, faculty housing, student
hostels and open area spaces for
other activIties.
The aim is to adapt to the highly con-
toured site while providing a smooth
circulation between spaces. The
design focuses on enhancing student
learning experience in a calm and
focused learning environment.

13. Designing 40 years in the
future, a railport is bound to be
one of the busiest public spaces.
The aim of this project is to design
a Railway Station and their pre-
cinct that can help users through
improved circulation and de-
crease of conflict areas, thereby
making it effective and efficient
landmark public area in the city.
Contextual and climatic analysis
becomes an important design
consideration in order to design a
sustainable design that holds on
to the roots of Indian Architecture.
