The National Curriculum Framework 2005 (NCF 2005) is one of four national curriculums published in India by the National Council of Educational Research and Training to provide a framework for syllabuses, textbooks, and teaching practices in school education. The NCF 2005 aims to promote lifelong learning, democratic values, creativity, life skills, independent thought, and holistic child development through a shift from rote learning to problem solving, behaviorism to constructivism, and teacher-centric to learner-centric education.
