A Critique of the Proposed National Education Policy Reform
ÖNCEL AKADEMİ: ACADEMIC ENGLISH
1. Many Canadians, as happened for other people through all over the world, were impressed with fabulous time of
inauguration. Upcoming visit of President Obama might give a chance Canadians to think over their racial issues
of Aboriginals since African-Americans can be compared to the Canadian Aboriginals.
African-Americans contributed much of the political progress which resulted in a success of president-selected
Obama as a transcendent figure which represents the unification of USA, whereas this kind of radical change in
Canada would not happen in Canada.
The reason behind the failure of Canada’s aboriginals in helping to Canada’s economical progress could be related
to be ambushed due to talking unnecessary rhetoric of Canadian aboriginals, i.e. shaming, raging and apology,
while USA has come up with an understanding of the limits as well as the dangers of identity politics.
Some of aboriginal politics were refused by their committees following their attempts of participating in the
political organizations. Weaker contribution from the site of Canadian aboriginals to the Canadian policy is the
reason of disparity about the aboriginals in related to a cycle of poverty, violence and hopelessness.
Cruel legacy of residential schools, worse than the discrimination faced by American blacks, appears as a barrier
for the Canadian aboriginals to get a good quality of education. Not much progress on the current position of
Canadian aboriginals unless the leaders of Canadian aboriginals give up following a useless policy based on the
identity and entitlement.
