2. War
People flee from their homes and become refugees for
many different reasons, like war between countries or
civil war, pressure of time, tribal groups, religious groups
or members of diplomatic organizations. People may be
tortured because they belong to a different social group.
In some countries, women who refuse to obey the rules
to their families’ or communities’ social traditions are
targeted, for example dressing or behaving in a certain
way.
3. Poverty
Refugees are poor because after they flee their
homes and countries and become refugees in
other countries, they are stuck in refugee camps
and don’t have a job. They rely on the camp
providing them with food and water. Some
refugees are able to enter the country and get a
job without going to a refugee camp. This is
illegal.
