8. The Common App and Naviance integration allows
school staff to:
• Send all supporting documents (transcripts, letters
of recommendation, etc.) directly to Common App
colleges from within Naviance
• Complete all steps involved in processing Common
App applications in Naviance (e.g. process Common
App Early Decision Agreements)

• Automatically sync their college lists on the Common
App and Family Connection
• Request transcripts, teacher letters of
recommendation, and counselor evaluations for
Common App colleges from Family Connection
Note: Students still complete and submit college
applications via the Common App

how will it impact people?
• Monthly meetings among team members to discuss design,
development, support
• Continual communications throughout the year to
troubleshoot, discuss design and development, escalate
support issues as needed
• Common App shares development plans as early as
possible so Naviance can implement any needed changes
AND communicate those changes to users
• Mutual feedback is essential and encouraged
• Our primary shared goal: to support the essential work of
school counselors
