This document provides information on conducting a SWOT analysis, including what it is, when to use it, the key elements, and how to create and use one. A SWOT analysis involves identifying an organization's strengths and weaknesses (internal factors) as well as opportunities and threats (external factors) to guide strategic planning and decision making. It should be developed by designating leaders or facilitators and recorders to brainstorm and discuss these four areas and document the results. The completed SWOT analysis can then be used to identify issues to address, set goals, and create an action plan.
The document provides an overview of strategic planning. It defines strategic planning as determining an organization's current state, desired future state, and how to get there. The generic strategic planning process involves defining the current state, analyzing trends, defining the future state, analyzing gaps between current and future states, and developing a plan. Key aspects of the process include preparing the organization, conducting SWOT and customer analyses, defining visions and roadmaps, overcoming obstacles, and promoting the resulting plan. The document emphasizes involving stakeholders, being flexible, and reviewing progress.
The document discusses strategies for developing and implementing successful information literacy action plans. It covers conducting an environmental scan, performing a SWOT/TOWS analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and determining critical success factors. It also discusses establishing objectives, developing training strategies, implementing training programs, and evaluating accomplishments to ensure plans are achieving their goals.
The primary benefit of the planning process is the process itself, not a plan. It is essential to put energy and effort into planning your process. The four questions you want to answer: Where are we? Where do we want to be in the future? What part of the status quo do we need to change to get us where we want to be in the future? How do we make it happen? Remember, if you don't know where you want to go it doesn't matter which road you take!

This document provides an overview of a design thinking approach to stakeholder and asset mapping for building project alliances. The goals of the session are to identify a curriculum, student learning, or assessment project to work on, map relevant stakeholders and assets, identify a key partner, and conduct an empathy mapping exercise to understand their perspective and needs. Empathy mapping and stakeholder mapping are introduced as tools to help understand different perspectives and potential support or obstacles. The document provides examples of different types of stakeholder maps and walks through conducting an empathy map for a key partner. It concludes by having participants identify how their project could address needs of the key partner.
This document discusses strategic planning for schools. It defines a strategic plan as a written document that maps out how a school will achieve its vision and mission. A strategic plan provides focus for the school community and ensures every student receives the best education. The document outlines the basic steps in strategic planning: conducting a situation analysis including a SWOT analysis; defining the school's mission and vision; determining objectives and strategies; implementing and evaluating the plan; and revising the plan. It emphasizes stakeholder involvement, setting SMART goals, and continuous monitoring and improvement of the strategic plan.
A SWOT analysis identifies an organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It is used to guide strategic planning and decision-making. The key elements of a SWOT analysis include listing internal factors like strengths and weaknesses, and external factors such as opportunities and threats. Conducting a SWOT analysis involves designating leaders, introducing the process, having groups identify factors, reconvening to share results, and creating a summary. The results of a SWOT analysis can then be used to identify issues, set goals, and create an action plan.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
