The document summarizes waste produced from typical household energy usage of 2000 kWh per year from coal power versus a thorium nuclear reactor. It states that a coal power plant produces 3 tons of CO2, 300kg of fly ash, uranium and thorium, and other heavy metals per year of household usage. A thorium nuclear reactor produces only 0.3g of short-lived fission products per year of household usage, along with small amounts of uranium and plutonium. It also includes diagrams of a proposed thorium nuclear reactor design.
The document outlines a city's strategic planning process which includes: an annual council retreat in January; reviewing and approving the strategic plan in March; identifying future workshop items; developing department service plans and the annual budget; and reporting performance measures with a mid-year review. It identifies seven key initiatives for the strategic plan: good governance, financial sustainability, core services, neighborhood integrity, economic growth, mobility, and sustainability. Progress will be measured through annual updates, mid-year reviews concurrent with the budget, quarterly reports, the annual budget, and department business plans.
This document summarizes the major accomplishments of the Dunlap School District for the 2010-2011 school year. Key areas addressed include alignment, leadership, continuous improvement, curriculum and instruction, business services, and human resources. Some notable accomplishments include developing a balanced scorecard to monitor strategic plan goals, upgrading facilities and technology infrastructure, completing curriculum mapping, providing professional development on PLCs, and revising evaluation tools and hiring processes. The document looks forward to identifying major goals for the 2011-2012 school year.
This document summarizes a survey conducted on the key technical and economic parameters for concentrating solar power (CSP) plant development in India. 70 professionals, researchers, educators and others involved in solar energy ranked the importance of 27 economic and 25 technical parameters on a scale of 1 to 10. The survey found that direct investment cost, payback period and power purchase agreements were the most important economic parameters overall. For technical parameters, location, capacity utilization factor and solar resource assessment were prioritized. Differences in perspectives between the groups were also noted. The document concludes with references to related literature on solar energy development in India.

Nielson 2013 MS NUCE Thesis - Thorium Fuel CycleRyan Nielson
This document discusses the advantages and challenges of thorium fuel cycles compared to uranium fuel cycles. Thorium presents several advantages including larger reserves than uranium, increased proliferation resistance due to producing lower quantities of weapons-usable material, and potential reductions in fuel cycle costs and nuclear waste. However, the thorium fuel cycle also faces challenges as it has not yet been commercially adopted due to a lack of development and higher associated economic costs compared to established uranium fuel cycles.

The aim of the thesis is a dynamic model able to describe a power-to-gas system, mainly composed by a SOEC stack (Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell) and a methanation reactor. In this way it is possible to convert the electric energy surplus, from an existing italian wind farm (operating in the Day-Ahead-Market), in substitute natural gas (SNG). The employed modelling softwares are Dymola and Aspen Plus, and the final goal is the techno-economic analysis of the system.

This research models the techno-economic assessment of producing steam-processed lignocellulosic biomass pellets. An ASPEN PLUS model was developed to simulate the steam pretreatment and pelletization process. The model was validated against experimental data. Simulation results showed that steam pretreatment increases the calorific value and energy ratio of pellets compared to untreated pellets. However, the cost of steam-treated pellets is similar to untreated pellets when calculated per GJ of energy output due to the increased energy value, though initial capital and operating costs are higher for steam pretreatment equipment. The goal is to identify the optimal capacity level where steam-treated pellet production costs are lower

The first Strategic Plan and Work Plan for the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA) covered the two-year period of 2006 and 2007 and will continue to be the basic working document to direct the association for the future.
The Strategic Plan is a continuous working document that provides a clear direction for the work of the association as a unified, future developing organization. Its direction is also to support the Board of Directors in a positive decision making process regarding organizational direction, budget and program priorities.
Its core direction follows the mission and values of the association with working towards enhancing and improving programs and services for the members. Staff reviewed the 2006/2007 Strategic Plan and has redirected items from the current plan that were not accomplished or were semi-accomplished to the 2007/2008 Strategic Plan.
The 2007/2008 Strategic Plan is not a “work plan” but an open document that may change with the direction of the association. Outcomes are accomplished through the IPRA Staff Work Plan which may incorporate Governance or Board Policy outcomes to assist the Board of Directors. The Staff Work Plan is a creative, project management oriented document that allows significant research and testing before the outcome is specified as completed. The allowance of creativity and project management within the Work Plan is significant as it allows for “trial and error” before a positive outcome is accomplished thus completing the outcome to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors.
Strategy is understanding how your industry is likely to play out, and getting very clear on the few, key strategic moves your company needs to make in order to position yourself for future success.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

Competition Directorate-General. European Commission
The Article 82 of the EC Treaty (abuse of dominant position)
prohibits the abuse of a dominant position and applies under the
following conditions:
1. the company holds a dominant position, taking into account its
market share and other factors, such as whether there are credible
competitors, whether the company has its own distribution
network and whether the company has favourable access to raw
materials; all are factors which allow the company to evade
normal competition;
2. the company dominates the European market or a ‘substantial
part’ of it;
3. the company abuses its position by, for example, overcharging
customers, charging excessively low prices designed to squeeze
out competitors or bar new entrants from the market, or granting
discriminatory advantages to some customers.

enterprises). The divisions were later privatized in the
second post office reform (January 1, 1995), resulting in the
creation of the following:
