summary of what you read/watched), 1-2 pages answering a few questions, and 1-2 pages
reaction to the philosophical themes of the book/movie. Larger projects are more of
same, but the themes for that project carries over into different genres (therefore, you will
have more to read watch) and are more difficult or complex (again giving you a little
more work to do).
Each little project will be worth (about) 2 points, while the larger projects are
worth 5. With partial credit, doing both projects well can (and will) shift you a whole
letter grade! But note that they are graded just like reaction papers, so if you do one,

this one to the list as a “neutral” choice for anyone that wants to work a little more with
Philosophy of Religion. Sit back and enjoy the ride (it’s a wild, weird movie) and then
let me know if you think that any of the articles we’ve read can handle this kind of
understand of the Divine, and what exactly is Aronofsky saying about God.
“The Screw Tape Letters,” C.S. Lewis. This book is also a somewhat neutral choice,
since Lewis went from a devout believer to an atheist, and back again (however, he’s
obviously returned to his faith when he writes this). What is Lewis really saying about
God (or the Devil) and the nature of Evil? How responsible are we as (merely) human?
“Twilight of the Idols,” Nietzsche. A book for the non-believers, or those still sitting on
the fence. If you’re a Nine-Inch-Nails fan, this is close as it comes to mandatory reading
since Nietzsche was the first to publicly declare, “God is Dead.” I really want to know
what you make of Nietzsche’s subtitle for the text (“How to Philosophize with a
Hammer”), what Nietzsche himself meant by it, and what he thinks God really is. This
one is a little longer and harder project, so come see me if you want to work on it – you
may need a little help throughout the project.

Things you need to include in your Review:
1. Early in your paper, identify the thesis of this book. In other words, what is the author trying to say? What is his primary point(s)?
2. Give a quick discussion of the sources the author used in this work. Were they mainly primary or secondary sources? Please do not only look at the bibliography for this question. Look at the footnotes. Many times, a primary source will be used over and over while a secondary source might be used only once or twice. Remember, a primary source is material written during the period studied. Primary sources include newspapers, census records, diaries, journal accounts, church records, fraternal association records, etc… Secondary sources are books, articles, and other material written long after the events of the period studied.

Choose ONE of the following paper topics testing your understanding of the work as a whole and allowing you to analyze important themes and literary devices.
If you choose one of the Dante topics, following each question is a sample outline (because the material can be difficult) to get you started. You are expected to use specific quotations and analysis of quotations in your response. You are allowed to use the reading guides I provided in the Dante folder, so your only sources in your Works Cited would be quotes from the text itself (must be back up points with textual material) and analyses (quotes) from reading quides provided in the folder from the scholary authors. Do not search the internet for more information or use sources other than mentioned above.
Remember this paper is a three-page MLA format paper, plus a Works Cited page.
You do not have to use the outlines provided....but at least review them to get an idea of what you will write over. My suggestion is do not try to write over every point in the outline...each paragraph needs to have at least two examples/quotes from the text, additional analysis from the reading guides is in addition to what you quote from the text.
I also have attached an MLA format guide, an example essay, and a sample outline in file forms as attachments to help you as well. Please review. The "bubbles" in the essay example state information important to writing formal essays----my suggestion is a quick review before you begin this paper. TOPIC CHOICES
Topic #1: There are three main themes in traditional literature; these themes include the picaresque theme, in which the character travels or makes a journey; the reversal of fortune theme, in which the character has his or her situation in life changed; and the survival of the least worthy theme, in which a character who is not really equipped for survival is able to endure. Just as we were born small, defenseless, incapable of speech and had the capacity for understanding but knew nothing, human development (each of us) needed to physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually needed to grow, deepen, and progress through stages that take time. Patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) often are unable to give informed consent because of cognitive or physical impairments due to illness, trauma, or sedation.1,2 In such circumstances, a patient’s family member or proxy is asked to serve as a surrogate and provide informed consent on behalf of the patient.3,4 With increasing frequency, surrogates of ICU patients are being asked to provide consent for crucial genomics research (Shelton, 2015). This article addressed computer based teachings on informed consent by these family members. I understand that in the time we live in, it is important to include computer based training based on technological dependence by much of the population. I do see a few issues with this type of teaching, however. First of all, during a very stressful time such as a family member being in the ICU someone like me is not going to have the patience to read through 30 plus slides on a computer that is explaining the consent process. On top of that, if the surrogate is in a very emotional state, which is highly likely in the ICU, patients could read all the slides and either not understand or even remember what they read because they are concerned about their family member. Lastly, if the surrogate is an older family member, they might not want to do anything on a computer. I do believe that the computer based teaching is an important tool to have, but there should always be a trained informed consent specialist that would be able to sit and talk to the patient and answer any questions they may have. I can't speak for everyone, but being in the medical field I feel research is very important. I would not mind at all if someone studying my medical records could help someone else further down the road as long as confidentiality/ anonymity was maintained.

The initial post will consist of one (1) paragraph describing/explaining the SDOH that you consider having the greatest impact on the overall health of populations in the US. Give an example of one (1) specific population within the US that is heavily impacted by the chosen SDOH. Write a second paragraph explaining the relationship among the chosen SDOH, the US population, and the population where you live.

Things you need to include in your Review:

If you choose one of the Dante topics, following each question is a sample outline (because the material can be difficult) to get you started. You are expected to use specific quotations and analysis of quotations in your response. You are allowed to use the reading guides I provided in the Dante folder, so your only sources in your Works Cited would be quotes from the text itself (must be back up points with textual material) and analyses (quotes) from reading quides provided in the folder from the scholary authors. Remember this paper is a three-page MLA format paper, plus a Works Cited page.
You do not have to use the outlines provided....but at least review them to get an idea of what you will write over. My suggestion is do not try to write over every point in the outline...each paragraph needs to have at least two examples/quotes from the text, additional analysis from the reading guides is in addition to what you quote from the text.

In week five the concept of biblical literalism is examined in regards to an informed, living Word of God foundation, which is not easy, nor short term, nor isolated is the mature, experienced, and prayerful interpretation of Sacred Scriptures. But this is one of several points that we should note and then study in reference to a mature faith and biblical studies. (This is a good point to include in the Week 3 Written Assignment!) (Biology is another point to relate to our work!) Just as we were born small, defenseless, incapable of speech and had the capacity for understanding but knew nothing, human development (each of us) needed to physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually needed to grow, deepen, and progress through stages that take time. See Kohlberg’s Model of Moral Development that might provide some insights in graphical form.

Patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) often are unable to give informed consent because of cognitive or physical impairments due to illness, trauma, or sedation.1,2 In such circumstances, a patient’s family member or proxy is asked to serve as a surrogate and provide informed consent on behalf of the patient.3,4 With increasing frequency, surrogates of ICU patients are being asked to provide consent for crucial genomics research (Shelton, 2015). This article addressed computer based teachings on informed consent by these family members. I understand that in the time we live in, it is important to include computer based training based on technological dependence by much of the population. I do see a few issues with this type of teaching, however. First of all, during a very stressful time such as a family member being in the ICU someone like me is not going to have the patience to read through 30 plus slides on a computer that is explaining the consent process. On top of that, if the surrogate is in a very emotional state, which is highly likely in the ICU, patients could read all the slides and either not understand or even remember what they read because they are concerned about their family member. Lastly, if the surrogate is an older family member, they might not want to do anything on a computer. I do believe that the computer based teaching is an important tool to have, but there should always be a trained informed consent specialist that would be able to sit and talk to the patient and answer any questions they may have. I can't speak for everyone, but being in the medical field I feel research is very important. I would not mind at all if someone studying my medical records could help someone else further down the road as long as confidentiality/ anonymity was maintained.

The poem “We real cool” is written by Gwendolyn Brooks. The poem is basically explaining some of the issues that we as students face. The author wrote this poem when she was walking by a pool hall during school time. She was wondering how the guys who skipped school felt. The poem was banned because of the word jazz, many thought the word jazz was referring to sex. “We real cool” in the first stanza by itself is saying that they think that they are too cool for school so they left school. I believe the poem is describing a situation where they are in or it could be talking about the listeners. Deliverables
When you try to log in, if you use User Name = Mickey and Password = Mouse, the frmMain form should open with all links visible. If you use User Name = Minnie and Password = Mouse, the frmMain form should open with only the Salary Calculator, View Personnel, and Search options should be available. You will have a new option called Manage Users that will allow you to add new users and remove or update existing users. Once you have verified that it works, save your website, zip up all files, and submit in the Dropbox.
Note on database connections: We are using a SQLDataSource control for the Edit employees feature we added. You should be using the connection string stored in the web.config file for your database connection for this control. Rather than creating a new connection each time, just use this connection. If you change the folder where your website is (e.g., you copy each week's work to a new location), you will need to update the web.config. The advantage of using the database connection in the web.config is that you only have to set the configuration in one location.

I do not know where to begin on this topic. The video, that I just watched is very emotional. It is probably the most powerful three minutes and thirty-nine seconds that I have ever witnessed. My answer or opinion on this topic is simple, the individuals who committed those heinous crimes do not deserve to be released back into society. The members of the parole board who made the conscious decision or lack of a conscious decision to release the teenagers who committed the murder of Shanda, I wonder what was going through their mind when they made their decisions? Did they think of Shanda's family? Transition to the two year old, James who was murdered by the ten year old's , Jon Veneables and Robert Thompson. Ten years old or not, they should have not been released back into society. The frightening thing is they have new identities and are they capable of contributing to society? Is it possible they could have a relapse and commit another heinous crime as they did when they were ten years old.
Setting emotion aside, I take the stance of no release for those who have commit cruel, terrorizing, and malicious acts of violence. If prison officials or those who make such decisions are worried about prison overcrowding, then they should focus their attention on the sentences given to those who possess small amounts of controlled substances.
The scales of justice are not balanced in these matters. Where is the justice for the families who have lost a family member to these acts? In my opinion they are being victimized when such decisions are made to release the killers of their family member back into society.

The Work
With Tartuffe, Molière moved further away from the simple structure derived from French farce. In this play, there is again a middle-aged man, Orgon, who can be tricked because of his obsession. Yet, although the trickster, Tartuffe, is a person outside the power structure, in this case he is a vicious hypocrite who must be stripped of his power over Orgon if poetic justice is to prevail. Therefore, there is another pair of tricksters — Orgon’s wife Elmire and his servant Dorine — who must set things right and aid the usual young lovers.
The structure of this play is also unusual in that the title character does not appear until the third act. In the first two acts, the characters voice their opinions of Tartuffe, this mysterious, seemingly pious man whom Orgon, the head of a prosperous Parisian household, has taken into his home as an honored guest. Except for Madame Pernelle, Orgon’s mother, the family members are unanimous in voicing their dislike of the man. Orgon’s young wife, Elmire, her stepson Damis, her stepdaughter Mariane, and her brother Cléante, the raisonneur, as well as the impertinent servant Dorine, all see Tartuffe for the hypocrite that he is.
After this preparation has been made, Orgon enters, and Molière begins to substantiate the fact that he is indeed besotted by this stranger. In a hilarious dialogue, Dorine attempts to report on the family, only to be answered over and over again by Orgon’s anxious inquiry, “And Tartuffe?” followed by a heartfelt “poor fellow.” Since Tartuffe’s activities involve gluttonous eating and a good deal of sleeping, Orgon’s concern about the man is ridiculous. The fact that Orgon’s infatuation could have serious results is soon made clear, when he reveals his plan to make Tartuffe a member of the family by giving him his daughter in marriage. It is at this point that Elmire and Dorine begin to formulate plans to deceive the deceiver by attacking his own weaknesses.
Tartuffe’s susceptibility to lust is revealed as soon as he makes his long-awaited entrance in the third act, when he begs Dorine to cover her bosom, so as not to tempt him to sin. Elmire’s plan seems foolproof: She will lead him to make his designs upon her explicit and then threaten to tell Orgon unless Tartuffe relinquishes his claims on Mariane. The plan fails, however, and Tartuffe plays upon Orgon’s emotions so skillfully that he manages to get Damis disinherited and himself made Orgon’s heir. Now both of Orgon’s children are powerless, and, of course, the raisonneur is still being ignored. Somehow, Elmire and Dorine must expose Tartu.

A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
