How did you use media technologies in the construction,
research, planning and evaluation stages?

For construction and research, they way I used media
technologies were quite simple. I used the mac computers a
lot at college to go online and YouTube different music
videos before I had an idea of what I wanted my end product
to be. For all my research to be put down, I use blogger to
place posts on my page in order to show the making of my
music video. On the macs to be to construct the digipak,
magazine advert, and final music video, I used programmes
that were already installed onto the computer. I used Final
cut pro, and Photoshop mainly to put together the magazine
advert and then the music video. Final cut pro was used to
editing the footage I had obtained, and then place them
orderly to fit the music song I was using. I had used some of
the programmes previously in other media project last year,
and was familiar with the programmes. On the internet, I
used conversion websites such as SlideShare to covert my
Powerpoints and Microsoft Word documents to be
embedded onto my page, to make my page more attractive
and interactive.

To research, Youtube and previous A2 music videos were
my main sources that I used in order to have an idea of how
to start, to find examples and see what I like and what I
think I would of changed, or improved.

To plan, I have used many programmes such as Microsoft
Word to type up my digipak research, shoot schedules,
equipment list, target audiences, the lyrics, and other plans.
I typed all these plans on Microsoft to then have them
embedded onto my blog. I used Photoshop, to set up and
make my magazine advert on, all to do with my final media
product. This is how I have used media technologies to help
with some of the planning connected to my music video. In
the process of making my music video I used HD cameras,
after testing all cameras available, I felt this video camera
was the best to film my scenes, this camera was very high
quality, enough to make our music video look well done.
With the evaluation stage, there were many ways we could
have obtained feedback for question 3, and I had chosen to
video and take photos of notes that the audience had
written, commenting on our media product. For other
questions I created presentations to answer the questions
on, and print screens, and Microsoft Word documents. I
think these were effective depending the questions asked,
and that I answered them in the most productive way I
thought possible.
