2. Fronter
I knew how to use the basics of fronter prior to this task as it is
something as a sixth form we use regularly to access work however I
didn’t wasn’t able to create my own pages before so I learnt how to
do this and also develop my skills in fronter so that now know how to
edit a page and insert text, images, links and powerpoints.

3. Photoshop
I was aware of photoshop before this task was set however I didn’t
know it very well and could only do basic things. I can now overlap
images, insert text, change the colour, brightness, contrast, levels
and curves of images. Additionally it helped me to be quicker with
using photoshop and realizing why things don’t work such as not
being able to type if I’m on the wrong layer. Now I feel a lot more
comfortable using photoshop and trying out different tools it
contains whereas before I would be reluctant due to my lack of
knowledge.

4. Voki
As we had to use different methods of presenation when deciding
what I would use to show the ability to present information in
different ways I thought a voki was one of my favourite things. I
chose these as they are a bit more interesting than lots of text yet it
gives you the exact same information with a bit more of a personal
touch.

5. Prezi
I had never heard of prezi before this piece of coursework therefore
it was a new thing for me and meant that I learnt how to use a
different piece of technology I wasn’t aware of before. I felt like this
was a really useful way to present information and allowed me to be
a bit more creative with my presentation compared to a powerpoint.

6. Youtube
I used youtube to upload a video to my subject matter music
magazine section, being able to add videos was so helpful as it
enabled me to show information in different ways and for this
particular piece allow a famous persons opinion on a matter to be
added to my research.

7. DSLR Camera and Tripod
Using a DSLR Camera and Tripod wasn’t new to me as I often
photograph people and landscapes out of choice however I did use a
different camera to my own for my student magazine therefore it
was something slightly new and allowed me to develop my abilities
to a wider range of cameras.
