EVALUATION QUESTION 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the
       process of constructing this product?
Technologies

During the production of my final product and the coursework I
have learnt how to use and developed my skills of using many
different technologies and software. These include:

 Scribd Prezi
 SlideShare Animoto
 Photoshop Bubbl.
 Blogger Photography and camera skills
 Dafont.com
Scribd.com

During the coursework I have
learnt to use Scribd.com. This
allowed me to do work in
Microsoft Word and then
upload it as a blog post.
Through this I have also learnt
how to embed my work into
blog posts, helping me to share
my work. This was also helpful
with large amount of text, as
blogger restricts the word
count on your posts.
SlideShare.com

Similarly to Scribd, SlideShare
allowed me to embed work
into blog posts. However, this
was used for PowerPoint's as
opposed to Word Documents.
This also helped me to share
work and presentations as
well as creating posts in a
more interesting way.
Photoshop

Whilst making my media
product I used Photoshop a
lot, and it is with this software
that I have learnt the most.
Using Photoshop allowed me
to develop skills through the
many different options
available. It mainly helped me
to develop skills in editing
photos, which allowed me to
create better looking photos
for my final product.
Blogger
This has been the first time
I’ve used blogger and I have
developed my knowledge
and skills within blogging
through the use of the
website. I have learnt how to
blog post, label posts and
follow other peoples work
and the teachers to keep up
to date. I have also learnt
how to add gadgets to your
blog which allowed me to
use other websites such as
Mixpod.com to enhance my
blog page.
Dafont.com

Whilst doing my
coursework I used
Dafont to help
enhance my final
product; as this
allowed me to
download and use
different and
more exciting
fonts.
Prezi

Using Prezi allowed me to
create different and more
interesting presentations
as well as another way to
present blog posts
through embedding. I had
never used this website
before and found it
difficult at first but
enjoyed learning to use it
and have really developed
my skills with it.
Animoto

Similarly to Prezi,
Animoto has allowed me
to create interesting and
different ways to present
information. I had also
never used this website
before and found it really
useful during the
coursework, especially
when creating the pitch.
Bubbl.us

Using Bubbl.us allowed me to
create mind maps online using
their software to make an
interesting and different way to
present information and
evaluation.
Photography and Camera Skills

During the production of my media
product I developed and improved many
of my camera and photography skills. I
learnt how to important lighting is when
creating a good quality photograph and
how easily lighting can spoil a photo. I
also used a Canon DSLR camera for the
first time when taking my photos for the
final product; this was because I felt the
quality of my test shots were not at their
best and that my photos would benefit
from having a better camera with a
higher megapixel, I worked hard to
quickly learn how to use the settings on
the camera to ensure I got the best
quality image I could.
