Covenant House is a shelter that provides services to homeless and at-risk youth between 16-22 years old. It offers immediate needs like food, clothes, medical care, and later addresses more complex problems. The author, their mother, and sister served lunch to the youth at Covenant House on Black Friday to make them feel special during the holiday week. They brought fried chicken, sides, and dessert. Covenant House provides three meals daily to all youth. By providing one meal, they saved money that can go towards keeping their doors open to help more people. The author has regularly volunteered at Covenant House through their church and plans to continue volunteering through more events and activities.
