Food from the Heart is a non-profit organization that helps alleviate hunger and bring joy to the less fortunate through food redistribution programs and celebrations. It delivers food goodie bags to over 4,200 individuals from families in need as well as providing toy donations and birthday parties for underprivileged children. Volunteers feel rewarded knowing the food they deliver can significantly help those in need. The organization aims to reach out to the less fortunate and brighten their lives while embracing values of professionalism, efficiency, and sustainability. It operates bread donation and food goodie bag programs that supply food staples to over 1,000 school children's families, helping to supplement their livelihoods.

2. What is Food from the Heart?
• It is a systematic programme of food redistribution that helped to ease the
burden of many needy families and individuals. Encouraged by the response,
Food from the Heart expanded into delivering Food Goodie Bags to families
in need, as well as providing toy donations, and organizing birthday
celebrations and special excursions for underprivileged children.

3. What are their Objectives?
• To reach out to the less-fortunate and brighten their lives by alleviating
hunger through a food distribution programme and bringing joy through the
distribution of toys and birthday celebrations.
• As we work towards our mission, we embrace the values of professionalism,
efficiency, transparency and self-sustainability.

4. Any Programmes that they conducted?
• Bread Programmes - United under a common belief that good food should
not go to waste, 120 volunteers started fanning out across the island on a
bread run, a daily mission to save a mountain of bread and buns from ending
up on the rubbish heap.
• Food Goodie Bag- Working with 21 schools, Food from the Heart supplies
monthly non-perishable food items to over 4,200 individuals from the
families of over 1000 school children, supplementing their livelihoods with
basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, biscuits, beverages and canned
food.

5. How does it help the needy?
• “Volunteers from Food from the Heart have been sending bread and pastries
to Christalite Methodist Home almost every day for the last two years, even
on weekends and public holidays. The bread has provided variety for the
residents, and they look forward to it very much. It has helped to defray
some of the operating costs of the Home. But most of all, we truly
appreciate and are thankful for the volunteers who pick up and deliver the
bread to us in the evenings after their work. Their concern and effort to give
