Melanie Bonacasa interned at Mystic Aquarium in spring 2016 as a public relations intern. She helped with various events and outreach projects during her internship, including giving daily prizes in March as part of Petey's Prize Patrol and working at an Easter weekend egg hunt called Eggstravaganza. Through this experience, she learned about the importance of business and community relations as well as gaining professional skills like double checking work and asking questions. The internship confirmed her interest in pursuing a career in events.
