Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for CybersecurityDr David Probert
The talk discusses the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to enterprise cybersecurity. The topics include self-learning, stochastic cellular automata, adaptive & self-organising systems and recursive Bayesian algorithms. The talk briefly surveys several cybersecurity companies including Darktrace, Logrhythm and Norse Corporation. There is also discussion of the application of AI and neural networks within the Banking sector for "Algorithmic Trading" during the last 10 to 20 years. These techniques are now highly relevant, and even ESSENTIAL, for the provision of real-time enterprise cybersecurity to complement traditional "signature" based anti-virus & firewall based solutions. The talk closes with the presentations for the future of Cybersecurity in 2020, 2025 and 2040 including reference to similar forecasts from both Business & Governments. The talk was given by Dr David Eric Probert at the East-West International Security Conference at the Melia Galgos Hotel in Madrid, Spain on the Tuesday 27th October 2015.
6G Training Course Part 7: 6G Technologies - Introduction3G4G
After our successful launch of '5G for Absolute Beginners' course (http://bit.ly/5Gbegins) in 2020, we decided to create an introductory training course on 6G Mobile Wireless Communications technology. The course is ready and the best way to navigate it is via the Free 6G Training page at: https://bit.ly/6Gintro - this will ensure that you have the latest version of each video and also the most recent version of the 6G technologies videos as and they are added.
In this part we will look at 6G Technologies. As this is a huge topic, we are only going to discuss the technologies at a very high level. Later on we will create more detailed presentations on 6G technologies. In this part we will look at some of the 6G technologies being proposed by other researchers, organisations, vendors and operators and create a summary of the 6G technologies that are being discussed. These technologies each merit their own little presentation that we hope to make in the future

Opinion: Why do so many new RAN players love Open RAN3G4G
If you look at the TIP (#OpenRAN) and O-RAN Alliance (#ORAN), the organizations driving the Open RAN vision and mission, you will notice many new small RAN players are joining one or both of them. In addition, you hear about other Open RAN consortiums that again include small innovative vendors that may not be very well known. This opinion piece looks at what is driving these companies to invest in Open RAN and what can they expect as return in future.

The cyber security job is everyone's business including the Board of Directors, even without a cyber security degree. Recent cyber security news proves that. According to several studies, Boards are getting it wrong and are leaving cyber awareness and risk management in the hands of the CEO, CISO, CTOs and cyber security companies. In a sense they are abdicating their responsibility to the shareholders. This slideshare proposes 7 questions every board should be asking their company executives abour IT security. They're not necessarily all encompassing and don't take the place of real cybersecurity training, but will drive the discussion to better and more complete understanding of strategic risk. Questions cover the basics of cyber security training, cyber policies, who briefs and when at board meetings. Thanks.
In the coming years, IoT will look completely different than it does today. IoT is a greenfield market.
New players, with new business models, approaches, and solutions, can appear out of nowhere and overtake incumbents.

In 2018, Zero Trust Security gained popularity due to its simplicity and effectiveness. Yet despite a rise in awareness, many organizations still don’t know where to start or are slow to adopt a Zero Trust approach.
The result? Breaches affected as many as 66% of companies just last year. And as hackers become more sophisticated and resourceful, the number of breaches will continue to rise.
Unless organizations adopt Zero Trust Security. In 2019, take some time to assess your company’s risk factors and learn how to implement Zero Trust Security in your organization.
While network security teams are starting to shift their focus from perimeter defense to post-breach detection, traditional detection tools fall short of the mark, either generating far too many false-positives or altogether failing to detect attacks in real time.
Modern Deception, which Gartner recently rated as a top security technology, changes the game. The goal of a deception defense is to lure attackers to ‘decoy’ assets that look and feel real but aren’t. By engaging with a deception environment that automatically updates to match the real network or cloud environment, attackers or malicious insiders essentially reveal themselves to the organization without knowing it.
Learn how your organization can use deception defenses to ensure an efficient and strong post-breach defense.
