My Best Holiday Essay
Crafting an essay about "My Best Holiday" may seem deceptively simple at first glance, as one
might assume that recalling pleasant memories and putting them into words is a straightforward
task. However, the process involves more than just narrating events. It demands the delicate art
of capturing emotions, sensory details, and the essence of the experience.
The challenge begins with the need for introspection, as the writer must delve into their
memories to identify the holiday that stands out as the best. This selection process requires
thoughtful consideration of various factors, such as personal significance, memorable moments,
and the overall impact on one's well-being. Sorting through a multitude of experiences to
pinpoint the most cherished one is akin to navigating a mental maze.
Once the holiday is chosen, the writer must grapple with the task of translating emotions into
words. Describing the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings in a way that resonates with the reader
is a nuanced endeavor. The risk of falling into clichГ©s or generic descriptions looms large,
demanding a careful balance between vivid imagery and original expression.
Structuring the essay poses another hurdle. Organizing the narrative chronologically may be the
instinctive approach, but it runs the risk of becoming a mere recounting of events. Crafting a
compelling introduction that grabs the reader's attention, developing a coherent sequence of
events, and culminating in a meaningful conclusion require a keen sense of storytelling.
Moreover, achieving a balance between personal reflection and engaging the reader can be
challenging. Sharing intimate details without veering into self-indulgence is a delicate dance, as
the writer aims to make the experience relatable and enjoyable for the audience.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "My Best Holiday" is not a mere documentation
of events; it is a nuanced endeavor that demands introspection, evocative language, effective
structure, and a delicate balance between personal reflection and reader engagement. It's a task
that requires both skill and creativity to transform a simple recounting of events into a
captivating narrative.

The Crisis Management Lesson From Toyota And Gm
The Crisis Management Lesson from Toyota and GM: It s Our Problem the Moment
We Hear About It
Delay in confronting crises is deadly. Corporate leaders must have processes for
learning of important safety issues. Then they must seize control immediately and
lead a systematic response. Crisis management is the ultimate stress test for the CEO
and other top leaders of companies. The mantra for all leaders in crisis management
must be: It is our problem the moment we hear about it. We will be judged from that
instant forward for everything we do and don t do.
These are key lessons for leaders in all types of businesses from the front page stories
about Toyota s and GM s separate, lengthy delays in responding promptly and fully
to reports of deadly accidents possibly linked to product defects.
The news focus has been on regulatory investigations and enforcement relating to
each company, but the ultimate question is why the company leaders didn t
forcefully address the possible defect issues when deaths started to occur.
On the recent regulatory front:
Toyota just agreed to pay $1.2 billion in a deferred prosecution agreement with
DOJ and accept a safety monitor for failing to disclose to regulators and indeed
misleading them about accelerators that became stuck on certain types of floor mats
or because of certain elements in the accelerator itself. The problem of uncontrolled
speeding and deadly crashes began to appear in 2007, but it took four years, and

Patricia Era Bath Research Paper
Patricia Era Bath, one of the most amazing inventors, doctors, and educators of our
time, was born on November 4, 1972 in Harlem, New York. Gladys Bath, her
mother, worked as a housewife and a domestic worker, saving her salary for her
children s education. Her father, Rupert Bather set the family tone for firsts. He was
the first black motorman for the subway system in New York City. Patricia was
encouraged to pursue academic interests and exposed to the value of exploring
different cultures. Her interest in science and medicine was first sparked when her
motherbought her first chemistry set. Bath worked tirelessly for many years to
become as educated as possible, and she succeeded. She was one of very few
students in attendance at a National Science Foundation sponsored cancer research
workshop at the young age of only 16. Dr. Robert Bernard, the head of the
program, thought her work was so remarkable that he incorporated her discoveries
in a scientific report at a conference. Bath managed to graduate high school in only
two years, and earned her bachelor s degree from Hunter College in 1964. In... Show

Columbia University was lucky enough to have Bath pursue a fellowship in
ophthalmology in 1969. Her many discoveries were shocking. Bath found that
African Americans twice as likely to go blind and eight times more likely to suffer
from glaucoma than any other race or test subject. Due to the results of her
research, she got a community ophthalmology system developed to increase the
level of eye care given to those who couldn t afford treatment. Patricia Bath became
the first African American to ever complete an ophthalmology residency in 1973.
The next year, she moved to California to work at Charles R. Drew University and

Therefore, since independence, the main objective of Pakistan s foreign policy has
been to protect its territorial integrity against a possible attack from India to ensure
national security from external threats. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign
policy is that its relations with India mainly determine its attitude towards the other
nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by constantly harping on its fear of
India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers. However, the basic
force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic and
military.
However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust,
suspicion, and fear. This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in
which each state, to reduce its insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that
of a possible foe. If a state perceives its neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to
deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little stronger than its neighbour,
or at least as strong. The neighbour, in turn, also fears attack or political intimidation.
It understands that its best interests lie in increasing its strength to forestall either
contingency or, if necessary, in winning a war, should matters go that far.
There was very strong perception among the Congress leaders that Pakistan is not
economically viable state and it could not survive. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad

Barn Burning Sarty Quotes
Sartoris (Sarty) Snopes is a young boy in William Faulkner s story Barn Burning
whose inner conflict causes him to make a choice between his family and his
conscience. He seems to have unspoken intelligence that allows him to think
independently of his controlling father. Sarty chooses to obey his own moral code
rather than to remain loyal to his familybecause of how Sarty views his father s
actions throughout the story.
Its clear from the beginning of Barn Burning that Sarty s moral integrity is greater
than his fathers. Abner Snopes, Sarty s father, is a dim, bitter and serial arsonist who
controls his fam ily through his unpredictable actions. The reason Sarty has an inner
conflict is because, unlike his family, he is intelligent and has ... Show more content

He sees the house for the first time and at that instant he forgot his father and the
terror and despair both, and even when he remembered his father again ...the terror

with hope that it will survive against his fathers destructive ways. Sarty notes that
the house is as big as a court house he thought quietly, with a surge of peace and joy
whose reason he could not have thought into words (Faulkner 4) This connection
makes him feel protective of the home and the stability it represents. When Abner
Snopes goes to burn the barn it hurts Sarty in a more personal way and so it
becomes the final straw to break sarty s hesitation about obeying his father or
listening to his own moral compass. His warning to the De Spains was Sarty acting

What It Means To Be Gay
The music you re listening to is gay! exclaims my best friend.
Feeling embarrassed, I turned the music off. I didn t think my music was lame.
It was on the radio. It s not really the usual music I listen to. Do you see the
problem with the usage of the word gay here? Gay used to mean bright and happy
but now it has become an insult. The term today literally refers to a male homosexual
person. After many years the word gay has changed its meaning and its meaning
continues to constantly change today. When gay first came to be a word it meant
bright or showy, like a rainbow. The word presently and popularly is used to as an
insult but the word s actual meaning refers to a homosexual male. Presently, people
use gay in two different meanings, some use it literally and some use it as profanity
or insult. Unfortunately, as a society by using a term in this way it shows that as a

Gay became a word in the twelfth century in England. Again the original meaning
behind gay was, something joyful or full of mirth. Flash forward to five centuries
later, in the 17th century, gay refered to being good or bad. In the Oxford dictionary
during the 17th century gay meant addicted to pleasures and dissipations. Often
euphemistically: Of loose and immoral life . Moving on to the nineteenth century, the
word gay developed an even more negative meaning. It became known as female
prostitute and a male that had an abundance of sex. Even with the word changing
meanings and definitions, it was still not a word that people used regularly to
describe prostitutes. Further into time, gay became to mean a male having sexual
intercourse with another male. In 1995 gays new definition was put into the
dictionary. This definition had lasted until present time. While the word has changed
its meaning, it is most commonly defined as a homosexual
Introduction to Environmentalism
At this point many in the industry operators around the world are being squeezed by
the global economic crisis is a bit painful. This put pressure on operating costs
involving wages, energy consumption and costs related to environmental
management in the industry. As a result, many in the industry operators to take
shortcuts to stop working as well as reduce the size of the production.
There are also among the industry players seeking to reduce the environmental
monitoring report for their premises in an effort to reduce the economic burden
incurred. Some industry players spent nearly 20 to 30 percent of the total cost of
operations on the aspects of environmental management.

It involves increasing the capacity of workers at all skill levels. With the skilled
workers in the industrial maintenance costs of pollution control equipment can be
reduced. It thus reduce environmental pollution through continuous monitoring of
performance (performance monitoring) are carried out by environmental skilled
workers.
The fifth strategy, refers to the recycling of waste generated in industrial
operations. This can be accomplished with the use of waste as raw material again,
power generation, recovery (recovery) and also use it for purposes other products.
For example, the rice industry waste can be used as feedstock for the production of
compost. It can solve the problem of environmental pollution through open burning
which is always practiced. Besides the installation of a wastewater recycling system
used to help reduce water use in the food industry and cost of production.
In the global context of many industries have come into practice the concept of
Cleaner Production, and managed to reduce their operating costs. Among the
industries that have successfully implemented this concept is the food industry,
electronic industry and the pharmaceutical industry. For example, companies in
Sandgate Castle Chemical Australia has successfully implemented the concept of
cleaner production to energy conservation through the conversion process flow and
waste recycling program to generate annual
The War Of World War I
World War 2 was a huge turning point in history, that fixed most of the things
related to wars that World War 1 was supposed to do but did not. There were many
differences between the attitude of the US in World War 1, and their attitude in
World War 2, mainly due to what happened in between the wars. Unlike World War
1, the second World War, was not about proving a point in the American s case, but
instead revenge for what had happened in between. In the process, the attitude of the
American people towards war changed dramatically from the end of World War 1, to
the end of World War 2.

The 1920s in America, can be divided into two different parts. The first being the
boom itself, and the other being the problems that indirectly lead to the
catastrophic 30s. The 1920s was a period that saw the deep south being urbanized,
thus moving away from ordinary farming, to factories. This also included the great
migration, which saw many african american moving the upper north states like
New York, creating what was known as the harlem renaissance in Harlem, New
York. A lot of the current big money places like LA and Chicago started their boom
in the 20s. While many great things happened in the 1920s many questionable
things also happened in the decade. For example, in 1924, the evil racists political
group from the post civil war era, known as the Ku Klux Klan or the KKK,
reorganized as a racist nativist group who opposed anyone who was not an american
born white protestant. They successfully got the government to block immigrants
from entering the country, as to lessen the fear of communism spreading. The
Problems associated with the KKK and immigration, indirectly lead to the great
depression seen in the 1930s.
The backend of the 1920s, saw the US transition from greatest boom to the greatest
recession, known as the great depression. The 1920s was all about the credit system.
This credit system did not have any limits, because at the time, republicans followed
Peloponnesian War Strategy
Evolution of Strategy Throughout the Peloponnesian War
In the years leading up to the Peloponnesian War, Athens and Sparta formed a
successful alliance defending Hellas from a Persian invasion. This alliance dissolved
soon after leaving two independent city states in its place. Athens possessed a robust
naval force and Sparta possessed a formidable military force. Each possessed unique
systems of government and policies that defined markedly different approaches for
relationships with their respective allies. These policies shaped the strategies that
each city state developed and implemented during the 27 year Peloponnesian War.

Sparta s strategy spread risk among its allies, resulting in a positive cost to benefit
ratio. In contrast, Athens was incorrect in its initial assessment of Sparta s capability
to become a significant threat and that assessment appeared to changed little leading
up to the Sicilian expedition. Further, Athens risked and lost a significant percentage
of its own resources on the Sicilian expedition rather than spreading the risk across
allies as in the Spartan strategy. It is impossible to know if Sparta s initial vision
remained present in its strategic planning throughout the war. It is likewise
impossible to know whether or not Athens initial assumptions regarding Sparta s
future capabilities influenced its future strategic evolution. However, by the end of
the Sicilian expedition, Sparta s strategy proved sustainable and effective in adapting
to changes in the realities, risks, and length of the

Pros And Cons Of Prisons In Prison
Convicted criminals are incarcerated to serve their sentences in various prisons.
Most of the prisons have all type of routines adhered to by the people who are
within their environment. Prisons are classified according to the level of security
available and type of prisoners they accommodate. Prisons having prisoners of
lowest risk levels and serving shorter sentences are referred to as minimum security
prisons. Medium security prisons accommodate prisoners of slightly higher security
risks such as those who are violent. Maximum security prisons have most violent and
those of highest security threats. Multi use prisons have prisoners of different
security classifications. Specialty prisons have prisoners with special needs such as
mental illness, disability or HIV/AIDS.
Correctinal officers serving at the prison premises have the best first hand informatin.
With this privilage, I managed to interview an officer from the innamate prison center.
The information collected was correlated to works by other authors who have
reviewed the prison institutional correction. Therefore, further clarification on this
correction is elaborated in this paper. The prison life cycle, events, terminations aims
and achievements of prison life are hereby contained.
Arrival at prison After a long conversation with a correctional officer, I found out
that once new prisoners arrive, they undergo several interviews, and interrogations.
They are informed about various prison rules, regulations and procedures which are
supposed to be followed and must be adhered to, and the consequences of breaking
them. He further explained that the new prisoners are informed about their rights and
privileges. The prisoners are informed of various educational courses and training
available in prison. After the brief introduction to prison, they are then told the reason
for their imprisonment. Each of them is assigned a unique number for identification.
The correctional officer elaborated that prisoners who might be having any
possessions are usually needed to hand them over to the authorities where they are
safely kept until they are released. Also, upon arrival at the prison, one is given a

some manner, then interview people. After you hire new workers, you have the
cost of payroll along with benefits that your are likely to provide. However, in
certain situations, you can avoid all of this by using a temporary staffing agency.
The following are three situations you should consider suing this type of service. If

Characters Of A Dog In The Golden Compass, By Philip
Pullman
Three years ago, my family adopted a dog. I ending up being the one who was
most reluctant to making the final decision and still was even after he had entered
our family. I was the one who thought of all the negatives for we don t need a dog
incorporated into our busy lives. For the first few weeks I did not like this dog,
and the dog new it. Over time, I started to relate and bond with this dog. I saw how
he was different, he did not act like a normal dog of his breed, different from the
rest. I find the same thing in myself in my family, not like the others, but were both
of us are still included and loved. Now, the dog that I didn t want and I are closer
than any of my other family members are with him. In the novel The Golden
Compass, the author Philip Pullmandevelops a similar type of relationship for each
of his characters called daemons. These companions reflect a certain person s
identity, soul, and changes in feeling through their different forms, usually as
animals. I am being considered for Mr. Pullman s next novel and he has asked me
to develop daemons of my own for the next book in his series. After a few days of
thinking I have decided on three animals that would be a great representation of me
in daemon form, an owl, a lemur, and a butterfly. Throughout my academic career I
have tended to be a good student who got excellent in elementary school and
straight A s in middle school. So what better daemon to have than owl to represent
this side of me. I tend to have the ability to understand concepts and make them
concrete easily when explained complete and thoroughly. This form of myself not
only comes during school work but any time that I have to be analytical. One place
that I have to show my thinking is on the tennis court, a sport that I play year round.
Tennis is very much a mindgame and at my higher level of play, I am forced to
compete more and more strategically while also maintaining my consistent
fundamental skills. This means observing what your opponents weakness is and
applying it to the match so swing it into your favor. Placement, direction, speed,
spin, are all things that need to be considered during every point. My owl is not only
limited to its analytical side but its
The United Methodist Church’s Book of Discipline
Essay
The United Methodist Church s Book of Discipline states, Wesley believed that the
living core of the Christian faith was revealed in Scripture, illuminated by tradition,
vivified in personal experience, and confirmed by reason . This statement outlines the
concept of the Wesleyan Quadrilateral. Interestingly, John Wesley never actually used
the term quadrilateral and the American Methodist scholar, Albert C. Outler, who
later stated that he regretted doing so as it has been misconstrued, named it. As for
John Wesley, he was an 18th century British Evangelist who is credited for founding
the Methodist Christian movement. The Wesleyan Quadrilateral provides the format

It is imperative that we as humans study scripture reasonably and not view it in an
irrational manner. Tradition Tradition is the next aspect of the Quadrilateral.
Wesley recognized that traditions that the biblical followers of God and Christ
developed are of extreme importance and we should embrace, emulate and teach
them to each of our generations. Traditions allow us to remember where we came
from and the heritages that were developed and shaped us. Traditions like baptism
and communion are examples of actionable traditions that keep us aware and
focused on Christ and that He is alive in our hearts and minds. He also realized that
man inspired traditions make the Word of God ineffectual and we should not fall
prey to recognizing them as having merit. Experience Experience is the remaining
and probably most powerful aspect of the Quadrilateral. Wesley believed that our
personal experience with God leads us through life. It confirms God s presence in
our lives and the world through both practical experiences and the presence of the
Holy Spirit in our life. It is to be noted that this is not just any experience that a
person has, but the Christian experience that confirms Christ is now abiding in our
lives. It is the experience of the Holy Spirit and proof of the existence of God that we
are His children. Experience is also

Impact of Movies
IMPACT OF MOVIES
THE THREE BIG LIES
The three lies that often movies and movie makers say .....
1. It s only entertainment. It does not influence anybody.
2. We just reflect reality. Don t blame us; blame the society.
3. We give the public what it wants. If people don t like it they can always turn it off.

Among all media, movies play a major role in impacting the thinking pattern of the
society. The question is whether the influence is positive or negative?

Studies are finding that boys, like girls, may turn to smoking to lose weight. Even
the Bollywood/Hollywood fashion has a huge impact on the youth. When
youngsters see their favorite actors/actresses wearing fashionable clothes and
accessories they imitate them. So, to copy their style icons, they spend thousands
to lakhs of rupees to have the same pair of shoes or dress. They don t mind
spending money, but they want to look just as perfect as their favorite movie star.
In this way the fashion statements set by celebrities lay a negative impact on
youngsters. ALCOHOL, DRUGS, SMOKING: Movies are spoiling the youth and
children most because there is the competition between youths to copy the style of
the hero either it was good or bad. Children who watch a lot of movies featuring
alcohol are twice as likely to start drinking compared to other kids who watch
relatively few of such films, according to new research. The more smoking and
drinking that young teens see in movies, the more likely they are to start smoking
or binge drink, according to a pair of new studies. To find out more about movies
influence on alcohol use in young teens, researchers surveyed more than 16,000

cutting across the colonial and post independent phases, of Indian history, is indeed
an enviable record. Representing a novel political culture neither bordering on
Gandhian thought and action nor possessing the anglicised sophistication and
cosmopolitanism of the Nehruvian vision, Kamaraj, rose from an underprivileged
background, stood forth as a sober and robust figure winning the confidence and

The Application Of Field Effect Transistors ( Fet )
FIELD EFFECT TRANSISTORS
ABSTRACT
In this project we have discussed about the basic information related to Field
Effect Transistors (FET). Starting from the history of FET and its development
over the years. It is a three terminal unipolar transistor involving single carrier type
operation. Next, we discussed about its composition and basic operation principle.
We also focussed on different types of FETs commercially used worldwide and their
significance at various level of Electronic industry. Scientific papers on FET were
read thoroughly and various advancements were noted. It was realised that
modification in FET can bring about tremendous change in characteristic of the
device. Though the advancement bears a numerous drawbacks and requires future
research, a step closer to low cost and environment friendly device has been initiated.
The advantages and disadvantages were also discussed precisely to help us
understand the selection of various devices in different circumstances. Lastly, future
prospect of FET is discussed that can lead to promising advancement in the field of
electronics.
INTRODUCTION
Transistor is a semiconductor device which is composed of at least three terminals
and is mainly used to amplify, switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is the
fundament and inevitable part of modern
Ethics And Standards Of Practice
1.Healthcare professionals must adhere to the ethics and standards of practice. Which
within express the importance of gaining a patient s confidence and trust (National
Association for Healthcare Quality, 2011). Granger (2013) implies that basic
introduction with healthcare professionals addressing a patient, is a first basic step
taught within any clinical interaction. Without it patients are lead to feel vulnerable
and awkward, therefore trust and confidence is not gained, compromising patient
safety.
2.Informed consent is once the patient has received all information in the treatment
that is planned, they themselves then make the decision on whether to give
permission before receiving the treatment (NHS choices, 2016). The NMC code ...

principles of handwashing adapted from the National Health Service (NHS) policy,
in order to reduce and prevent the risk of infection. Community care can be varied in
the nature of work, therefore facilities provided can prove a challenge when it comes
to infection control and handwashing.
National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines, NICE (2012), implies
health care professionals must be educated in infection prevention and control, hand
decontamination, and personal protective equipment. Stating that wherever care is

anti inflammatory drugs can interfere with different parts of the wound healing
process (Swezey, 2014). Therefore, a review of current medications should be
undertaken.
Pernicious anaemia is an autoimmune disease (Pernicious anaemia society, 2016). It

This can then cause a decrease in oxygen carrying capabilities of the red blood cells,

April 12, 2017 Screenwriters and Directors
To be a screenwriter and/or a director you must be willing to share your imagination
with the world. There s so many ideas that flow through my mind daily, therefore
this would be the perfect job for me. A great outlet to express my feelings and
thoughts with the world. If I just described you, then continue reading to further
discover the life of a writer/director.
Rather you want to be a screenwriter and/or a director, those two occupations are
similar but very different. The screenwriter is responsible for writing the script. Once
they ve handed over the script that s pretty much the end of their creative involvement

Sure, the aftermath is awesome: watching something you ve written come to life, etc.
But getting it onto the page is, personally speaking, excruciating.
Question:How do you avoid exposition?
Answer:You don t. You police it. I go back through and read it over and over and
continually ask myself do they need to say this? And in doing so, I ve come up with
some really cool scenes and interesting ways to show things that I initially had been
telling.
Fascination with Becoming a Screenwriter/Director
I made the career choice to become a screenwriter/director because it is an easy
outlet. Since I was in elementary school I was an excellent writer. I would write
fairytales upon fairytales and read them to whoever was willing to listen. When all
the other children wanted to go outside and play, I would be writing. Anywhere
and everywhere, you could always catch me with a pen and paper. Growing up I
had many dreams, had many aspirations. Over time most of those aspirations faded,
and it became all but nothing a simple dream. Yet as I grow older writing has never
left my side. I began doing spoken word which opened the door to my public
speaking. Which now has me so excited to write something, anything, knowing that
people are excited and willing to hear me
Impact Of John Adams On Society
Johns Adams, the first vice president of the United States and the second president of
the U.S.A., was a prominent political figure during the beginning of the United States
of America and did a lot to build the country to what it is today. John Adams has had
more impact on American society and culture than any other person in history by
being involved in the creation of the American government, saving America from
crisis multiple times, and his involvement in foreign affairs. John Adamshad
important roles as a founding father of the United States. He was responsible of
writing the Massachusetts Constitution, which is the oldest Constitution in America
still in effect. The Massachusetts Constitution served as a model for the United States

With the war going bad for the Continental Army, John Adams was sent to France
to try to convince them to give America naval help, for the U.S. s navy was very
weak. After attempting to gain naval support Adams sailed to Holland to get a
loan from the Dutch. He was successful in gaining the loan. Throughout the end of
the war, Adams would try to make peace with Britain. He was the main negotiator
in this action and would be successful in creating peace between the two countries.
After the US was favored to win the war, Adams was sent back to Paris to negotiate
peace. Finally, in 1783 the Treaty of Paris was created declaring peace between the
countries. Adams also had an impact with immigrants, but the actions he took
overshadow his entire presidency. He passed an unfavorable act which is still
controversial and argued today, the Alien and Sedition Act. These acts could ve
been passed in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Acts like these were passed
during the Cold War. The acts basically took away many rights including freedom
of speech, freedom of press, lawmakers jailed, and immigrants weren t allowed in
the country. Immigrants were the main targets for these acts. It made it harder for
them to get in, the aliens could be kicked out, and instead of having to reside in the
U.S. for five years to vote, they would have to stay in the United States for fourteen
Aladdin The Musical Reflection
The theater was largely attended by children and toddlers. To my surprise, I noticed
that there were a decent number of adults attending the show too. I was not sure if
they were dragged into the show by their own children or that they came to watch the
performance willingly. Unfortunately, I was dragged into the theater to watch Aladdin
the Musical with my younger siblings during a family outing in Disneyland. I tried
my best to spot other adolescents in the theater. However, it felt like I was the only
one. Embarrassed, I sat in deeper into my seat, hoping that no adults could find and
criticize me. Aladdin the Musical uses the same plot from the movie, Aladdin as a
foundation for their own plot. The plot is about how a thief was destined to be the
prince of Agrabah with the help of a powerful genie and how an evil vizier named
Jafar desired to take over the kingdom of Agrabah by abusing the genie s powers. As
the emcee made his announcements, I assumed that I would fall asleep on the
cushioned seat from all the boredom I would experience from a children s fairytale.
Surprisingly, I was wide awake throughout the entire show. In fact, I enjoyed the
performance very much.

The flow of the scenes made the story understandable. However, the performance
did not exactly follow the same storyline as the movie. For example, Aladdin was
actually sent to prison by Jafar and he escaped it by using one of the genie s three
wishes but the performance altered their story so they need not to reenact that scene.
I also believed that the performance could have had more backstory. For example, the
performance did not inform the audience that Princess Jasmine was fussy about
choosing her suitors and that Jafar was trying to court her so that he can take over
the kingdom of

Organized Crime-Personal Narrative Analysis
Experiencing extortion: The intriguing story of yet another victim of organized crime
Have you ever experienced extortion? Most people would say no, yet as a young
child I could say I had. Most of my life was already not ordinary, since my family
did not follow the path that many Asian Mexican families do, for my mother had
been offered a job as a teacher in the state college when I was 6 years old and had
therefore been able to escape the somber lifestyle that most of my relatives had with
time consuming jobs. I grew up in Mexico, a culturally rich country that is
unfortunately marked by violence. You could say that this fact was evident to
everyone, it was said on the news channel on TV and it was also always the front
page of local newspapers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The guilt of that experience haunted me for years and shaped who I was; I became
a very reserved person, it was hard for me to trust people again and eventually it was
part of my personality. But as Albert Einstein once said, A person who never made a
mistake never tried anything new I realized that the mistake I had made brought a
new experience to me, a lesson to learn and improve from. If it were not for this
experience, I would not have learned to be more cautious and to not blindly trust
others. I eventually understood that I shouldn t take mistakes as something to be
ashamed of or guilty about, but as a memory and a story to tell, one that I can
share with others. Over time I was able to let go of the guilt that I felt, and accepted
the fact that, unfortunately, I had fallen into the hands of organized crime, that I had
unconsciously led to my own extortion with tactics that have been used for decades,
and that the ones at fault where those who manipulated me, they had taken my
innocence from me. I had to come to terms with the reality of my past, and I could
no longer deny that indeed it had happened, I couldn t run and hide and let the guilt
consume me. I had to move on, and thus I took my experience and have shared it
with others. If one can accept
Dr. Martin Luther King s Letter From Birmingham Jail
Dr. Martin Luther King wrote a letter from Birmingham jail on April 16, 1963. The
letter was written in response to his fellow clergymen, stating that Dr. King s
present activities was unwise and untimely. The peaceful protest in Birmingham
was perceived as being extreme. The letter from Birmingham Jail was a letter of
grievance to the white clergy, and their lack of support in the civil rights movement.
Dr. King explained in his letter the difference between what is just and what is
unjust and his reasons being in jail at Birmingham. He believed clergymen are men
of genuine good will and that they deserve a response, so Martin Luther king wrote a
letter from Birmingham Jail.
The main thesis in the Letter from Birmingham Jail was to
Animal-Assisted Animal Therapy
Autistic children and even autistic adults often have meltdowns, outbursts, stress, and
sometimes even as bad of symptoms as depression over the course of their life. Many
parents with autistic children have tried multiple types of therapy, and often wonder
if animal therapy would be a better path for their family. When trying assisted animal
therapyfor the first time, parents in every study I read about noticed that their child
was calmer, more alert, and had an overall decrease in the amount of outbursts and

Most children with ASD interacted daily with their dogs and reported being attached

The interaction of children affected by ASD with animals went above and beyond all
other sources of therapy to encourage interaction with others, verbal communication,
and non verbal interactions. Often times when children that have ASD are in public
areas or classroom settings they become reserved and unwilling to communicate with
others. These actions lead to being rejected by society and by their peers. A quote
provided by a written evaluation on having therapy animals in the classroom

the definition of ASD goes, children who have autism have difficulties socially

J.P. Morgan and Ragtime Essay
John Pierpont Morgan:
The turn of the century in American, when E.L. Doctorow s novel Ragtime is set,
was a time marked by rapid technological developments and industrialization. These
years also brought a heavy flood of immigrants as well as an increasingly urban
American landscape. Technological advancements enabled increased efficiency and
mass production. However, Doctorow clearly brings into question the consequences
of this new technology for the average American worker. J.P. Morgan s discussion
with Henry Ford about the assembly line s innovations brings this debate to the front.

Cyber Attacks On Maritime Targets
The frequency and severity of cyber attacks on maritime targets increases every year.
Often the damage is not discovered until years later. The cyber attack on the port of
Antwerp began in 2011 and continued until it was discovered in 2013. The Danish
Maritime Authority was attacked in 2012 by a virus contained in a PDF (portable
document format by Adobe). The virus spread throughout the Maritime Authority s
network and into Danish government institutions before it was discovered in 2014.
Reasons for the ever increasing securityexposure include the growing use and
interdependence of computersystems, the relative ease and extreme value of
executing attacks, and the exceptional difficulty in identifying the culprits and
bringing them to justice. Regrettably, some port authorities contribute to their
vulnerability by addressing cyber security as a technology threat best left to IT
professionals. On the contrary, successful and serious cyber attacks are inevitable
and the planned response must be subject to the same governance and scrutiny that
any existential threat would receive. One reason that port authorities hesitate to
engage cyber threats at the Board level is a lack of appreciation for just how
impossible cyber security is. A more complete understanding of the factors that
complicate cyber security can assist Directors in stepping up to set priorities and
oversee contingency and remediation plans.
Cyber risk is a relatively new issue at ports, some of which

Tick, Tock, chimes my life clock. The peal of every second s sound passing through
my ears like the background music from a movie on the big screen. Constant... white
noise. As I sit back and recall the situations I ve encountered in this peculiar life of
mine, I come to the realisation that my clock has almost struck twelve. My timeis
almost up.
With a furrowed brow I examine further. How could this be? How could it have
come so quickly? The incessant noise of the hands mechanically moving across the
white face became unbearable as it raced through me. As if, it were a ticking time
bomb. My whole life, measured in these twelve even arcs has almost completed its
full circle, and while most people feel the desire to run from these clock hands ...

So after long contemplation, I came to the conclusion that I was in charge of my
happiness. That it for me to decide when my life succumbed to darkness. And
although I couldn t control the hands of my clock reaching twelve, I could welcome
them with content. And that s when I began to really live.
What a strange thought... I was approaching the end of my life, and I had just
began living? Like. really living? People reading this must think I m insane. But
unlike most people, I don t consider stumbling through life, merely existing, to be
the purpose of life at all. The purpose of this beautiful gift dwindles with every day,
and so It should be embraced like a thirst that shall never be quenched. Every night,
when I lay my head on the pillow at day s end, I am already immersed by the hunger
of tomorrow s events.
I realised the happiness in six s midst wasn t really mine. It was the property of
someone else s that I leeched onto and stole from their vice grip. The sadness of
one, which I held onto for most of my life, although heartbreaking, was in the past.
It sounds cliche but for most of my life, I didn t live in the moment, and that was the
biggest disservice to myself I had ever
Battle Of Hastings Research Paper
The Battle of Hastings remains as one of the most influential battles in British
history. King Harold II, an Anglo Saxon, would be defeated by William the
Conqueror, who would establish the House of Normandy as England s ruling
house for over 200 years. William was born in the Falaise Castle in what is now
the modern country of France. He was born to Robert, the Duke of Normandy and
a mistress named Herleva. When William was just a few years old, his father left
on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. His father would die returning to France and William
would succeed him with the archbishop of Rouen (also named Robert) serving as
regent. Barons would fight for William s position which led to William s teacher and
guards dying. At one point a relative
The Masculine Crisis In Manhattan Transfer
2. Constant Vigilance! The Masculine Crisis in Manhattan Transfer Affect is crucial
to understanding Dos Passos s approach to characterization because of how he
chooses to express his characters thoughts and feelings. Frequent use of stream of
consciousness and infrequent use of precise physical or mental descriptions forces
readers to assume almost everything about the characters. Often, we have to interpret
their vocal tones or physical actions for ourselves based purely on dialogue alone,
but with the way dialogue unfolds, many times the readers are following characters as
they come to realizations themselves. Affect which Figlerowicz defines as how much
more quickly our brains might work than we consciously know them to, accurately...

Emile s struggles are purely business, financial business, and if he keeps focusing
on business, he can protect his heart without turning towards isolation like many of
the aforementioned men. He can have a beneficial (perhaps sexual) romantic
relationship and never feel a single thing. The constant motif of fire throughout
Manhattan Transfer may be a metaphor for the rampaging sexuality of the 1920s
since sex, like fire, is a destructive force in any form (Hughson 192). Its destructive
power is meant to elicit a response from those that watch it, typical fear or pleasure
in the case of the firebug since they hang round...to watch it (Dos Passos 13). Emile
s response shifts directly from pity ( Everyting awright... ) to asking about Madame s

Justice Department was investigating the company s March 2006 agreement with
Canadian generic drug manufacturer Apotex. The agreement was intended to delay
the Apotex s release of an inexpensive generic version of Plavix.
Under the terms of Bristol Myers ill conceived agreement with Apotex, BMS
offered Apotex $40 million to halt production of the generic Plavix until June 1,
2011. This date was five months before the Plavix patent was set to expire. Bristol
Myers also agreed not to release its own non branded Plavix until six months after
Apotex began to sell its generic version of the blood thinner. When asked to approve
the agreement, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state Attorneys
General objected to these provisions. They labelled the Bristol Myers concession
anti competitive because it assured that Apotex would be the sole market vendor of
cheap, generic Plavix for at least six months. So, Bristol Myers Squibb agreed to
remove the anti competitive provision from the contract. Nevertheless, the FTC
began questioning Apotex regarding the revised agreement. During these questioning
sessions, Apotex told the federal regulators that Bristol Myers had given Apotex
private assurance that it would not release a general version of Plavix to the market.
The Reflection Of Working In An Enterprise Environment
Throughout the semester, I worked at Central Community School District 301 in
the information technology department and worked on many different projects.
This experience was very impactful because it taught things that classes have a
hard time doing or and not able to teach at all. Working in an enterprise
environment took all the information that I have gained from computer science
classes and focused them into one point. Which is, to be able to work on a team
and to be able to create and understand enterprise level software. Most of my time at
CCUSD 301 included of me working on self hosted internal education tools for
teacher and student use, and creating and updating different automation task that
made some manual time consume task, very easy or non existence at all or
working on self hosted learning programs for teacher and student use. One of the
first projects was for me to make a program that took a picture from a camera
renamed it to a normalized name convention and then move it to the correct
directory, so that a ID printing software could select the correct picture to print it
on the ID. When I first received this project I was thinking, this will be easy
because it was just like I did in CSCI 330, UNIX and Network Programming. The
only problem was that it had to run on a Windows server and not Linux. Pythonwas
already installed on the server for another task, so my manager said that I could use
it or any other scripting language that I felt most comfortable with. I chose Python
because I did not know many other languages at the time and because I just started
taking CSCI 490K which was a classabout Python to solve different problems. After
doing research and getting assistant from other members of the team I was able to
test and complete the program. Throughout the semester, I came back to this script
to refine it after learning new concepts in class to make it more efficient and
handle errors better. One of the next projects, also one of the largest was for me to
make a new script that interfaced with a Google for education administrator console
API in order to manage 8,000 Chromebooks. This was the first project that was
given a firm dead line for completion because there was around 4,000
Cricut Mill Research Paper
Are you thinking about buying a Cricut machine? These personal die cutters from
Provo Craft offer a wealth of crafting possibilities, but it can be very confusing
trying to decide which model to buy. The machines do share some features, but they
also are each unique from one another in various ways.
Before we discuss their differences, let s talk about how they are same. First, these
die cutters are considered cartridge based machines. They use artwork and fonts that
are available on cartridges. This means that all the machines, with the exception of the
Cricut Mini, can be used without a computer. Simply plug in the cartridge, select your
shape and size, and press cut.
In addition to the cartridges, all the electronic die cut machines from ... Show more

In addition to the regular cartridges, it also uses Imagine cartridges, which contain
not only die cut shapes, but also patterns for making your own scrapbook papers. The
machine uses HP printer cartridges and can print 1200 dots per inch.
As of this writing, the Cricut Mini is the newest die cut machine from Provo Craft.
The Mini is unique in many ways. For one, although it has a cartridge port, it must
be connected to the computer and to the CraftRoom design tool in order to cut. It is
not yet compatible with the Gypsy, but this capability should be coming soon. It has
the smallest footprint compared to the other models, and it uses a uniquely sized
cutting mat of 8 1/2 x 12 .
Which Cricut machine is best? If you ask ten different people, you will likely get
ten different answers. To decide which one to buy, think about how you will use it.
Will you use it for only card making and scrapbooking? If so, the Create may be a
good option for you. Do you also plan to make home decor projects and three
dimensional paper crafts? In this case, you may want to consider the Expression or
the E2. Do you want to use your computer when designing die cuts? The E2 or the
new Mini may be your best
Luchesi And Fortunato s Death
Fortunato a wealthy man, who is very well respected, admired, beloved, and happy,
he has a wife and children of his own, he is known to be a famous wine taster.
Therefore, he always wants to prove that he is a better wine taster than Luchesi, who
is another good wine taster. As a result, Fortunato and Luchesi are competitors. In
addition, Fortunato is a man that gets drunk often; he seems to be addicted to wine.
Nevertheless, Fortunato is also secretly a mason, which is a secret society of the
Masons. Fortunato s life was normal until the day of his mysterious death. Fortunato s

Moreover, Montresor is also from a rich family with a motto Nemo me impune

mentions that Montresor was one of Fortunato friend. In addition, after talking to
Fortunato for a couple of minutes, Fortunato s friend saw that Montresor suddenly,
put on a mask of black silk and drawing his roquelaire closely to him, then take
Fortunato to his palazzo. Moreover, it is uncommon for someone to walk around
drawing his or her roquelaure close to him or her. Therefore, Montresor could be a
suspect that causes the death of Fortunato. The attendants at Montresor s palazzo
confess that Montresor has asked them to stay at the palazzo. Instead, the attendants
have not listened Montresor and went to the carnival. Moreover, the attendants also
remember that Montresor explains that he will not be home until morning. In
addition, they saw that Montresor was walking down the basement with Fortunato.
This leads us to the basement of Montresor s

My Best Holiday Essay.pdf

  • 1. My Best Holiday Essay Crafting an essay about "My Best Holiday" may seem deceptively simple at first glance, as one might assume that recalling pleasant memories and putting them into words is a straightforward task. However, the process involves more than just narrating events. It demands the delicate art of capturing emotions, sensory details, and the essence of the experience. The challenge begins with the need for introspection, as the writer must delve into their memories to identify the holiday that stands out as the best. This selection process requires thoughtful consideration of various factors, such as personal significance, memorable moments, and the overall impact on one's well-being. Sorting through a multitude of experiences to pinpoint the most cherished one is akin to navigating a mental maze. Once the holiday is chosen, the writer must grapple with the task of translating emotions into words. Describing the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings in a way that resonates with the reader is a nuanced endeavor. The risk of falling into clichГ©s or generic descriptions looms large, demanding a careful balance between vivid imagery and original expression. Structuring the essay poses another hurdle. Organizing the narrative chronologically may be the instinctive approach, but it runs the risk of becoming a mere recounting of events. Crafting a compelling introduction that grabs the reader's attention, developing a coherent sequence of events, and culminating in a meaningful conclusion require a keen sense of storytelling. Moreover, achieving a balance between personal reflection and engaging the reader can be challenging. Sharing intimate details without veering into self-indulgence is a delicate dance, as the writer aims to make the experience relatable and enjoyable for the audience. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "My Best Holiday" is not a mere documentation of events; it is a nuanced endeavor that demands introspection, evocative language, effective structure, and a delicate balance between personal reflection and reader engagement. It's a task that requires both skill and creativity to transform a simple recounting of events into a captivating narrative. For those who find themselves grappling with such writing challenges, assistance is available. Services like HelpWriting.net offer the option to order essays on a variety of topics, providing a helping hand to navigate the intricacies of essay writing. • 2. The Crisis Management Lesson From Toyota And Gm The Crisis Management Lesson from Toyota and GM: It s Our Problem the Moment We Hear About It Delay in confronting crises is deadly. Corporate leaders must have processes for learning of important safety issues. Then they must seize control immediately and lead a systematic response. Crisis management is the ultimate stress test for the CEO and other top leaders of companies. The mantra for all leaders in crisis management must be: It is our problem the moment we hear about it. We will be judged from that instant forward for everything we do and don t do. These are key lessons for leaders in all types of businesses from the front page stories about Toyota s and GM s separate, lengthy delays in responding promptly and fully to reports of deadly accidents possibly linked to product defects. The news focus has been on regulatory investigations and enforcement relating to each company, but the ultimate question is why the company leaders didn t forcefully address the possible defect issues when deaths started to occur. On the recent regulatory front: Toyota just agreed to pay $1.2 billion in a deferred prosecution agreement with DOJ and accept a safety monitor for failing to disclose to regulators and indeed misleading them about accelerators that became stuck on certain types of floor mats or because of certain elements in the accelerator itself. The problem of uncontrolled speeding and deadly crashes began to appear in 2007, but it took four years, and deceptive

Gladys Bath, her mother, worked as a housewife and a domestic worker, saving her salary for her children s education. Her father, Rupert Bather set the family tone for firsts. He was the first black motorman for the subway system in New York City. Patricia was encouraged to pursue academic interests and exposed to the value of exploring different cultures. Her interest in science and medicine was first sparked when her motherbought her first chemistry set. Bath worked tirelessly for many years to become as educated as possible, and she succeeded. She was one of very few students in attendance at a National Science Foundation sponsored cancer research workshop at the young age of only 16. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, since independence, the main objective of Pakistan s foreign policy has been to protect its territorial integrity against a possible attack from India to ensure national security from external threats. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign policy is that its relations with India mainly determine its attitude towards the other nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by constantly harping on its fear of India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers. However, the basic force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic and military. However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust, suspicion, and fear. This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in which each state, to reduce its insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that of a possible foe. If a state perceives its neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little stronger than its neighbour, or at least as strong. Traditions allow us to remember where we came from and the heritages that were developed and shaped us. Traditions like baptism and communion are examples of actionable traditions that keep us aware and focused on Christ and that He is alive in our hearts and minds. He also realized that man inspired traditions make the Word of God ineffectual and we should not fall prey to recognizing them as having merit. As the emcee made his announcements, I assumed that I would fall asleep on the cushioned seat from all the boredom I would experience from a children s fairytale. I also believed that the performance could have had more backstory. For example, the performance did not inform the audience that Princess Jasmine was fussy about choosing her suitors and that Jafar was trying to court her so that he can take over the kingdom of

Most people would say no, yet as a young child I could say I had. Most of my life was already not ordinary, since my family did not follow the path that many Asian Mexican families do, for my mother had been offered a job as a teacher in the state college when I was 6 years old and had therefore been able to escape the somber lifestyle that most of my relatives had with time consuming jobs. The guilt of that experience haunted me for years and shaped who I was; I became a very reserved person, it was hard for me to trust people again and eventually it was part of my personality. But as Albert Einstein once said, A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new I realized that the mistake I had made brought a new experience to me, a lesson to learn and improve from. If it were not for this experience, I would not have learned to be more cautious and to not blindly trust others. I eventually understood that I shouldn t take mistakes as something to be ashamed of or guilty about, but as a memory and a story to tell, one that I can share with others. Over time I was able to let go of the guilt that I felt, and accepted the fact that, unfortunately, I had fallen into the hands of organized crime, that I had unconsciously led to my own extortion with tactics that have been used for decades, and that the ones at fault where those who manipulated me, they had taken my innocence from me. I had to come to terms with the reality of my past, and I could no longer deny that indeed it had happened, I couldn t run and hide and let the guilt consume me. I had to move on, and thus I took my experience and have shared it with others. If one can accept

The cyber attack on the port of Antwerp began in 2011 and continued until it was discovered in 2013. The Danish Maritime Authority was attacked in 2012 by a virus contained in a PDF (portable document format by Adobe). The virus spread throughout the Maritime Authority s network and into Danish government institutions before it was discovered in 2014. Reasons for the ever increasing securityexposure include the growing use and interdependence of computersystems, the relative ease and extreme value of executing attacks, and the exceptional difficulty in identifying the culprits and bringing them to justice. Regrettably, some port authorities contribute to their vulnerability by addressing cyber security as a technology threat best left to IT professionals. On the contrary, successful and serious cyber attacks are inevitable and the planned response must be subject to the same governance and scrutiny that any existential threat would receive. One reason that port authorities hesitate to engage cyber threats at the Board level is a lack of appreciation for just how impossible cyber security is. A more complete understanding of the factors that complicate cyber security can assist Directors in stepping up to set priorities and oversee contingency and remediation plans.
