Women all over the world today grow up and try to find their place. Many of whom struggle with
the daunting task of discovering their passions. This idea can be played into the theme of women
and their discovery of self. Authors who attempt to capture this theme create novels that are
relatable and compelling to all audiences. Both Brooklyn written by Colm Tobin and Memoires of a
WomanDoctor written by Nawal El Saadawidisplay this theme beautifully in their novels. While
both novels are set in relatively the same time period, they have two very different settings.
Brooklyn was set primarily in Brooklyn, New York while Memoirs of a Woman Doctor is set in
Cairo, Egypt. In addition to their different settings, they both portray very different types of
women. Saadawi s work displays a very strong willed feministic character while Tobin s novel

remember. Involve me and I learn. So, the question I pose today is how do we involve children
so that they learn? How do we spark that want inside of a student to because a lifelong learner.
The best way to build students knowledge and thirst for greater understanding is by creating
connections. Having connections between prior knowledge, different subject areas, the outside
world, and what is being learned now and in the future will help students to achieve higher levels
of thinking, as well as, the twenty first century knowledge and skills that are needed in the
collegiate and professional words today. One way to make these connections is by using integrated
thematic units. Inga Randle (1997) discussed the fourth grade students of Barbara Pedersen who
were so eager to learn they would willingly skip recess to be in the classroom learning. Pedersen
used integrated thematic instruction to inspire her students. So, by learning what an integrated
thematic unit is, why integrated thematic units should be used, and how to use integrated thematic
units teachers can become more like Barbara Pedersen and prepare students more for independent
thinking and higher education.

My Tissue As A Writer
In this memo, I introduced the path I have taken as a writer. The things I have learned about
writing during high school and at Purdue. The biggest change after I came to Purdue as a writer is
that I realized that the purpose of writing is not just about exams or joy, but also about future career
and research.
History of my writing
As a writer, I like writing stories. I started to write my own novel at 12. At that time, I have read
a lot of novels and interesting stories. When I finished each chapter of my story, I would let my
sister to read it and observe her reaction. Every time I saw her smiling face while reading my own
story, I was proud and satisfied, as a writer. Today, as a college student, I still like reading and
writing stories.

I, Robot vs. Frankenstein
In the 19th century Mary Shelley introduced us her first and unique novel Frankenstein. Almost
200 years later director Alex Proyas released his new blockbuster I, Robot based on the
homonymous short story by Isaac Asimov. Both stories tell the viewer a fiction about creatures
produced by human beings. These creatures feel itself as a stranger in the society and
misunderstood. But even if the stories have the same beginning they are presented in a different
way. So the question is: Is the movie I, robotthe Frankensteinof the 21st century?

Few days later Frankenstein s younger brother is found dead. Frankenstein knows right away that
properly the monster has murder his brother. So he goes to look for him. When he finds him, he
noticed that the monster is now able to talk. The creature tells him that he learned to talk when he
watched one family, but when he comes closer to the family and want to be their friend they chase
him away. And so does everybody. He feels so lonesome and alone, that he wants Frankenstein to
create a girlfriend for him so he is no lonely anymore. As a result he may have then somebody to
talk to. In return the monster would turn his back to the human race. Consequently Frankenstein
creates a female mate for the monster, but when he is almost through the work he is suddenly
overwhelmed with fear that the monster and his mate will spawn more monsters and destroy the
human race. So he destroys the female. Thereupon the creature murders Frankenstein s fiancГ©e.
So it is seen that Frankenstein s experience with science and technology to satisfy his curiosity if it
would be possible to animate a dead person scared him. This unites Dr. Lanning and Frankenstein in
some way, because he also wanted to satisfy his curiosity. But there is also a big difference, Lanning
wanted to invent something for humanity, to help them, to fulfill their needs. In contrast

1.10.Management of preinvasive disease of the cervix : CIN 1 disappears spontaneously and
