Personal statement
I have just completed my first year at York College on a Creative Media course
and now on my second year. I am hoping to go onto the university degree at
York College under Film Production and Practice as I have a keen interest in
Film. I have gained lots of different paid work experience in busy
environments which has helped with my customer service skills. I have also
done lots of volunteering work, including client work for my college course,
which help me with leadership opportunities and working well with a team.
Experience
Café Valeria, Wheldrake village
August 2021 – November 2021
Whilst working at café Valeria in wheldrake I’ve learnt key skills like
multitasking and gained most of my experience with different customers.
Responsibilities included:
 Cash handling
 Table service and waitressing
 General barista knowledge
Café Valeria outlet, Designer Outlet York
August 2021 – November 2021
Responsibilities included:
 Setting up and closing stall
 customer complaints
 multitasking jobs

Wedding Catering
November 2021
I did wedding catering as some extra work. I did multiple locations with
different companies. It helped me work well in busy conditions and help me
with time management.

Working in admin and helping with quarter end accounts as well as filing.
Responsibilities included:
 Organizing paperwork and storing them

I was picked my multiple staff at Fulford school to give tours to adult and
children looking to attend Fulford school as either students or teachers.
Responsibilities included:
 Planning tours and preparing presentations

Pentathlon event, York
Summer 2019
I was picked to help lead a pentathlon event for young disabled children and
help look after children from around schools from York.
Responsibilities included:
 Leading different events and making them adaptable
 making sure events start and end by certain times
 recording scores and using an online system
 giving examples of certain events in front of crowds
Childs Cricket Private Event, York
May 2019
I was picked to help record scores during a cricket event for primary school
children around York.
Responsibilities included:
 responsible for groups of young children’s wellbeing
 recording scores to be able to put into an online system
 take groups from one place to another and set out instructions for
them to follow

Hobbies & Interests
 I’m interested in the study of Film, Television and Photography. I spend most of my free time
watching films or shooting small, short stories when I’m not at college. I’m hoping to work in
the film industry in the future when I have all my qualifications.
 In my spare time I do a lot of photography, I run a photography account on multiple platforms
and enjoy shoot concert photos.
 I enjoy reading in my spare time. I like to read a lot of romance book but will read all genres.
My favorite book is My Policeman by Bethan Roberts.
 Watching Motorsports. I love watching Formula 1, I have spent time at car festivals and enjoy
learning about the cars.
