Music Video Rough Cut
FEEDBACK & RESPONSES
Question 1:
During one of the later performance scenes the clip lasts a significantly longer time
period than anything prior. Does this ruin the realistic music video effect? If so how
could we improve this?
To address this we have gone back and split up the scene, using different
framing and performance shots from other angles.
Question 2:
Does the editing match the beat throughout or are there areas for
improvement? If so, timestamps would be very useful.
Since reading this feedback we have gone back and adjusted a few of the scenes
so that they match the music with higher accuracy.
Question 3:
To what extent does our video retain an authentic and entertaining appearance?
From reading this, we are content with our videos comedic value and overall
authenticity.
Question 4:
Is there anything you feel we should add, filters, transitions etc?
Since receiving this feedback we have gone back and applied a black and white filter to
all performance scenes to create a theme, and to separate it out from the narrative
effectively.
Question 5:
Is our Mise En Scene continuous, with enough variety? Does it fit the genre?
From looking at this feedback we would like to take action on the common points given,
“Needs variety in locations”, but sadly with the lack of time we have to complete the video we
will do our best to use the clips we have effectively. This will hopefully create more variety.
Question 6:
Do we have a good variety of camera work, angles and framing? If not what
should we add?
Much like the previous question we have taken the feedback into account and added
scenes throughout including zoom cuts into performance and narrative. By doing this it
gives the video a better appearance cutting down long scenes.

From looking at this feedback we would like to take action on the common points given, “Needs variety in locations”, but sadly with the lack of time we have to complete the video we will do our best to use the clips we have effectively. This will hopefully create more variety.
  • 7. Question 6: Do we have a good variety of camera work, angles and framing? If not what should we add? Much like the previous question we have taken the feedback into account and added scenes throughout including zoom cuts into performance and narrative. By doing this it gives the video a better appearance cutting down long scenes.
