By the end of the term, students must complete tasks analyzing music videos including an initial commentary on selected music videos by June 15th, cut counts on 3 music videos calculating cuts per minute, an essay on the history and future of music videos by July 6th, a Goodwins analysis "documentary" by July 6th, and a detailed Goodwins analysis of a selected music video using the Super Furry Animals model. The instructor aims to review student progress individually before the end of term and over the summer students will need to find a track to use for their main project.
