Mushrooms are fungi that produce fleshy fruiting bodies, often with caps and stalks. They have two main parts - the cap and the mycelia, which are thread-like structures that absorb nutrients from the soil without needing sunlight. There are six main types of mushrooms cultivated worldwide - paddy straw, oyster, button, milky, shiitake, and Jew's ear mushrooms. Mushrooms have specific temperature and humidity requirements for growth, such as button mushrooms preferring 20-28°C and 80-90% relative humidity over 50-60 days.
