Learning Preferences
● At the beginning of the class when I took the learning preferences
survey, I ended up with a score of five leaning towards reflective, a
three leaning towards sensing, a nine as a visual learner and a one
as a global learner. At first I didn’t quite understand what that all
meant. I also didn’t think that I had some of the learning
preferences I ended up with, but by the end of class I realized that I
had all of those learning styles and they were at the scored level I
got. Overall, I’m happy that I learned about all these learning
preferences because the only one I truly knew about was the visual
or verbal learning preference. It is good to know your learning
preferences because it makes things a lot easier in a learning
  environment.
Learning Pathway
● My chosen pathway was the learning sage. I wanted to learn about
all sorts of technologies and understand them better and that is
what I believe I accomplished with this course. In the multimedia
and interactive learning, I was able to get a better understanding of
more of the virtual learning technologies that I didn’t know about
like MMOGs as well as other forms of multimedia like virtual labs.
Most of the other types of learning technologies, like social
bookmarking, I already knew a lot about but didn’t realize that these
could be used for learning purposes, so I was still able to learn
more about them too. Throughout the course I think I was also able
to be a learning warrior in some classes but I wanted to mainly gain
new knowledge so that later on I could apply it to my learning.

Technologies
● The screencasts technology quest was very easy to explore because the lectures used screencasts. I found it to
be useful that we were regularly practicing what we were learning about. It is certainly not difficult to understand
why this technology is easy to use for learning purposes. I think all my learning preferences are easy to
accommodate with this technology because I can pause the lecture anytime to reflect on what is being taught
and it is also visual as well as verbal so there are no problems in that learning preference. Plus, there is more
opportunity to go into detail and the lecture without filling it up with a punch or words. You can visually follow
    while listen to more information.

● The podcasts, I think, are very handy and also not too difficult to explore. I would like to explore them some more
but at least I know a good amount about podcasts from the lecture. Some podcasts, however, do not always
help me because some can be just audio instead of visual or both. The ones that are just audio I find hard to
follow because I don’t see even a person in front of me talking. It can be a lot harder to pay attention. So, if I was
to use podcasts I would find ones that are both visual and have audio included.

● I use multimedia everyday in my life. Multimedia is practically everywhere especially now that we live in a world
where most everyone uses the internet at least once a day. I like that newspapers and textbooks are considered
forms of multimedia and I’m glad that I learned that. Plus, I think that anyone who uses multimedia will be able to
accommodate their learning preferences. There are so many forms of multimedia that you can choose from to
help you learn. It always helps me because I can get visuals, I’m always learning new things and I can pause to
reflect on what I learned, and it can give me the big picture so I can relate it globally.
Experiences
● What interested me the most was probably the podcasts because they are very easy
to download onto your iPod and take with you to different places. They can
accommodate your learning preferences if you’re in a hurry or want to be studying or
learning outdoors. The technology that surprised me the most was probably
multimedia because I learned that even a textbook with images or newspaper can
be considered multimedia where I thought multimedia pertained to the internet of
television. I don’t believe that any of these technologies don’t work except for some
podcasts but that can be fixed by finding different podcasts. What I want to explore
more is podcasts, particularly those that are designed specifically for college
    students.

● I think that multimedia and podcasts are what help me the best and can
accommodate all my learning preferences. I would say iPods and mp3 players work
best for me, so the fact that I can get multimedia and podcasts onto my iPod is just
as great. I chose these technologies because they are very helpful in any field of
work, multimedia especially. Anyone can use these to accommodate their learning
    preferences.
