This is my personal example of my worldview.

1. Darnell Kemp’s

"'Love the Lord your God with

yourself.' There is no
commandment greater than
these" Mark 12:30-31 (NIV).

2. Protect the innocent
 “It really bothers me when people are
cruel to children.” Response to
terrorists
 “The beautiful child that might not be
born.” Response to abortion rally
 I feel that children are a gift. They
come into the world so innocent, and it
is our responsibility to protect them.
“Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward
from him” Psalms 127:3.

3. Shaping my views on children
 A tough childhood
 My empathy
 Watching others suffer
 Being a teacher
 I believe that we our
responsible to others

4. View of human nature
 We are flawed, however, we can
strive to be better
 We cannot achieve perfection on our
own
Influenced by my faith and
watching people try to live lives
of perfection and instead live
“lives of quiet desperation”
(Thoreau).
“Let integrity and uprightness
preserve me; for I wait on thee”
Psalm 25:21.

5. Responsibilities to others
 That every person can make the
world a better place
 That we are “our brother’s keeper.”
 That sometimes we must often do
what is difficult to help others
 Influences
 My mother believed this
 My faith
 My career choice
“Yet count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him]
as a brother” 2 Thessalonians 3:15.

6. Sources of ethical wisdom
 “I believe in God the Father
Almighty Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth
And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, our Lord
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate
He was crucified and dead and buried
 And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am
I did not make it, no it is making me
It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man
 I believe that He who suffered was crucified, buried, and dead
He descended into hell and on the third day, rose again
He ascended into Heaven where He sits at God's mighty right hand
I believe that He's returning
To judge the quick and the dead of the sons of men
 And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am
I did not make it, no it is making me
It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man” (Third Day).

7. Two people who shaped my world view
My brothers shaped
my world view. My
oldest brother,
Darryn, taught me the
value of hard work
and being responsible
for your own “good
life.” My other brother,
Sean, taught me
compassion and a
responsibility “to
others.”

fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?” Matthew 18:33

8. The person who changed my worldview
 My husband Paul has made me
much more conservative and
strengthened my faith “Let us therefore follow
after the things which
make for peace, and
things wherewith one
