![GOD-KIND OF RIGHTESOUSNESS IS PRESENTED<br />Part 2 September 12, 2010 Romans 3:22<br />Charles e. Whisnant<br />Sinclair Ferguson quoting Thomas Brooks in the latest edition of the 9Marks eJournal on hell:<br />“Oh, but this word eternity, eternity, eternity; this word everlasting, everlasting, everlasting; this word forever, forever, forever, will even break the hearts of the damned in ten thousand pieces…Impenitent sinners in Hell shall have end without end, death without death, night without day, mourning without mirth, sorrow without solace, and bondage without liberty. The damned shall live as long in Hell as God himself shall live in heaven.” Makes me want to weep… and preach.<br />3AGOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS REQUIRED BY FAITH; VS. 22<br />Even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe for there is no distinction NASB<br /> Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. kjv<br />This righteousness is bestowed upon us freely by God Himself; it is not only given “unto” us as a portion, but is put “upon” us as a garment. Revelation 3:18. Without this, we are robbed a place of everything of vaule, despoiled, of our innocence, and exposed to shame, as our first parents were upon the introduction of sin, but as they were covered by the skins of their sacrifices according to the direction of God Himself had given them Genesis 3;7, 21; so are we by “putting of the Lord Jesus:” Romans 13;14, when clothed with His righteousness, can even God Himself behold a spot or blemish in us; Ephesians 5:27. <br />THROUGH1223 (by) the vehicle or means by which one obtains the righteousness of GOD is FAITH.<br />FAITH 4102 or trust or belief and is the conviction of the truth of anything.<br />,[object Object]](https://image.slidesharecdn.com/romans322outline091210-100916170337-phpapp02/85/romans-3-22-outline-09-12-10-1-320.jpg)

- 3. This act does involve the consent of one’s mind, but also results in an act of the heart and will of the subject who exercises this faith.
- 4. The bible never says that men are saved on account of their faith in Christ.
- 5. Faith is not subjective but is based on objective truth, the truth of God’s wholly inspired, totally infallible Word of Truth and Life.
- 6. Faith is not contrary to the rules of logic, good sense or reason.
- 7. Here is what “believe” does believe: We must come to Him knowing we are in need of being rescued, with any attempt to establish our own righteousness. We totally believe we are saved by Him alone. It is His righteousness alone. It is Jesus Christ “alone” that we know we are saved. Romans 10:3; 4:6; 5:19; 1 Corinthians 1:30.
- 8. Here is what this “faith” and “belief” does: A.W. Tozer wrote.
- 9. It upset the whole life of the individual and made him into another person altogether.
- 10. It laid hold on the life and brought it unto obedience to Christ.
- 11. It took up its cross and followed along after Jesus with no intention of going back.
- 12. It said good-buy to its old friends.
- 13. It snapped shut on a man’s heart like a trap.
- 15. No difference between people. All are sinners, all need salvation. Be morally bankrupt or morally upright. Both are lost and separated from God.
- 16. First, There Is No Difference In The Fact Of Sin.
- 17. Secondly, There Is No Difference In The Fact Of God’s Love To Us.
- 18. Thirdly, There Is No Difference In The Purpose And Power Of Christ’s Cross For Us All.
- 19. Lastly, There Is No Difference In The Way Which We Must Take For Salvation.
