Stichting Probos en haar voorgangers (waaronder Stichting Bos en Hout) doen al sinds de
jaren 80 onderzoek naar de teelt van snelgroeiende loofboomsoorten zoals wilg in korte
omlopen. Lange tijd was Nederland in Europa รฉรฉn van de voorlopers op dit
onderzoeksgebied. Ook in andere Europese landen is in de loop der jaren veel kennis op dit
gebied ontwikkeld. In de jaren negentig is men bijvoorbeeld in Zweden, en in mindere mate
in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Frankrijk, gestart met de aanleg van wilgenplantages als
energiegewas. De laatste jaren is er door de discussie over klimaatverandering en de
stijgende behoefte aan duurzame energiebronnen toenemende aandacht voor de teelt van
houtige energiegewassen. Bij onze oosterburen schieten de plantages met snelgroeiend
loofhout als het ware als paddenstoelen uit de grond. Hoewel wilgengrienden van oudsher
thuis horen in het Nederlandse cultuurlandschap, was er tot voor kort in Nederland
nauwelijks aandacht voor de aanleg van wilgenplantages. Vanwege de grote druk op de
beschikbare grond vanuit de landbouw, natuurontwikkeling en stedenbouw en de
beschikbaarheid van andere goedkopere (fossiele) brandstoffen was de aanleg van plantages
met wilg of andere loofhoutsoorten als energiegewas lange tijd niet aantrekkelijk.
Vanwege de huidige Nederlandse klimaat- en duurzame energiedoelstellingen en de actuele
stijgende wereldwijde vraag naar houtige biomassa voor duurzame energieopwekking is het
nodig om de aanleg van wilgenplantages in Nederland serieus te overwegen. Om deze
overweging goed te kunnen maken is inzicht nodig in de beschikbaarheid van gronden voor
de aanleg van wilgenplantages en de kosten en baten van dergelijke plantages. Probos heeft
in opdracht van Agentschap NL deze zaken in kaart gebracht. De informatie uit dit rapport
kan dienen als basis voor de uitwerking van concrete businesscases voor de aanleg van
wilgenplantages in Nederland.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the bodyโs response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
