2. MEANING OF MOTIVATION
 Motivation is derived from the Latin word ‘movere’ which
means ‘to move’ or ‘to energize’ or ‘to activate’.
 Motivation means the process of creating desire or felling of
work among the employees.
 Motivation means the process of creating willingness to work
more efficiency or to work hard.
Definition of motivation:-
Motivation is the willingness to exert high level of efforts
towards organizational goals.

6. MASLOW ‘S THEORY OF MOTIVATION:-
Hierarchy of Needs
 Abraham Maslow has developed a theory of motivation in which he
has arranged the need in a hierarchy. According to this theory it is
the unsatisfied need which motivates a person to behave in
particular manner. According to this theory within every person there
is a hierarchy of five types of needs.
