Good Morning!!
CPA-PHARMEX – Large Cap Indian Pharmaceutical Index from CP-Artha
As a continuation of last morning note discussion on Indian Pharma companies, we decided to form our own index to keep
track of the Indian Pharmaceutical Market Valuation. We named it as CPA-PHARMA. Top ten pharma companies are
considered for this index that has minimum market capitalization of INR 100,000 million. Weights for this index are calculated
based on the free float market capitalization. It is calculated from 2003 to current date. At the current market level, it is
1,062.37 with Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 20.2% over the last ten years. In our later editions, we will be
calculate index for mid-cap and small-cap stocks where investing opportunities are more than in large cap stocks.
