Student's Creativity
Creativity is based on three things
    •1. The process
    •2. The outcome
    •3. The goal intended

The creation of a students work should be
based on their original ideas, the
processes, experiences and objects used.
Technology plays a big part in creativity!
Creativity involves
feelings, beliefs, knowled
   ge, motivations and
        disiplinary
      understandings
What we can do as teachers!

•Teachers may hinder the creative
process in order to get through the
material intended. Never criticize a
students work, they may fear to be
creative again.

•As teachers we should structure our
activites according to curriculum
goals, standards and the students
knowldge and needs.
Ways to promote Creativity!

   •Students input in class ideas
•Decorate the classroom with their
                work
    •Encourage students to seek
 alternative ways of responding to
       structured art activities
Technology & Creativity!
•Puzzles
•Design and create software
•Creativity Pool
•Paint
•Brainstorming software
Technology & Problem Solving
Two types of problems students face
   1.Close-ended problems
   •usually one correct answer
2. Open-endend problems
   •many correct answers

      Inquiry: research, guided
discovery, students ask questions and
         search for answers
Technology & Problem Solving
Bringing technology and problem
solving together is simple!

Teachers can use web-based tools to
       fit what they are teaching!
It can fit into your teaching style and
        students learning styles!
Being able to connect the world in
your classroom to the world around us
