Windows and Chrome/Google apps will be the most appropriate platforms for the BYOD/BYOT program as they are compatible with existing classroom devices and students are familiar with them. Students without devices can partner up or use classroom laptops and tablets. Apps like ABCmouse, Starfall ABCs, IXL, and phonics games will be used to practice and reinforce skills in a fun way both in class and at home.

These programs work well with our computers and Kindles that are already set up in
our classroomand students have had practice on these devices.
 Students who do not have their own devices will be allowed to team up with friends or
will use one of the four classroom laptops or five Kindle Fires.
 Students will work individually or be partnered up based on skill level, interests and
behavior.
