2. Technology has progressed so much during the 21st
century. Many students begin using technology at a
young age and it offers a wide range of information.
Technology allows students to learn and research new
content in the classroom each day. At the elementary
school I am currently working in, we use Google
(Google Chrome/Google Drive) as our platform. I have
also chosen to implement this as my platform in my
classroom.
3. Although many students have access to their own
technology at a young age, there are some who do
not. For students who do not have access to their
own devices, I would ensure to provide them with the
same opportunity and usage of technology as the
other students in the classroom. I would have extra
chromebooks, IPad’s, and older versions of an Apple
Iphone for students to use. I currently have three
old IPhones in my classroom and I allow students to
use them for learning purposes.
4. When using devices in the classroom, students will
be working in partners. For instance, when assigning
students to a research project on Jackie Robinson,
students have many different kid friendly websites
to choose from to research information. By allowing
students to work in partners, it will allow them to
divide the work. Different websites might offer
different information of Jackie Robinson, so this
will allow students to work together to research
information using different websites. Students who
do not have their own device to use will be allowed
to use a classroom device when researching.
