Multimedia Reflection
 From being introduced to using Twitter as a
tool to develop my Professional Learning
Network in this course ...
 To actually signing up a Twitter account …
 To starting to follow people and having
followers …
 To starting to tweet and retweet …
 To eventually being able to say, hey, now I
know .. and that, I enjoy tweeting too!
 Right after signing up, I started following
organizations and people suggested by the
instructional team, including some media
news groups and not-for-profit
organizations.
 I had a few followers …
 But now I know who to follow after reading
tweets that interests me and after researching
a little about the organization/people
concerned. It’s really interesting and I must
say my followers have increased in number
too.
 I want to refer to the following
organization/people who have made an
impact on me in my infancy Ed Tech journey
(which will continue even after this course is
done) ie @edutopia, @cybraryman1and
@cmt1
 But that is not to say that the rest of the
organization/people did not significantly
influence this journey … it is definitely a hard
choice to make due to space constraint.
 Whoever it is that is out there, keep it up and
march on!
 A website of the George Lucas Educational
Foundation, United States.
 I was drawn very much by the name initially
because of the word ‘utopia’.
 I then discovered that it has so much to offer
and I stuck on with it …
 In its tweets, it raises philosophical issues and
big pictures for education in the 21st Century.
Among them are: the art of staying relevant (for
educator) and reinventing oneself; Problem-
based Learning: inclusive cultural response
versus reactive cultural response.
 Retired educator.
 He tweets on a variety of subjects ranging
from motivational stuffs (‘students respond
better if they know you care about them’
tweet) …
 To education technology (I like his internet
catalogue for educators) …
 To gifted education (‘all things gifted’ tweet)
..
 To his various other interest like ‘building
community in the classroom’, the list goes
on.
 Faculty Ed Tech instructor.
 I like her various tweets on education
technology & practice, research
methodology issues, open source
education, google class … besides …
 Up and coming issues like augmented
reality, Education 3.0, The Other 21st
Century Skills etc. Lots of food for thought,
and very trending.
