A mock interview is a practice interview that helps improve interview skills like communication and answering questions. To prepare for an interview, research the company, practice common questions, and bring identification documents. The BBC was founded 100 years ago and is publicly funded through TV licenses. It has different TV channels targeting various audiences, like BBC 1 for ages 35+ and BBC 3 for ages 16-34. When pitching a TV show idea to the BBC, research the company, summarize the show concept and ideal channel, discuss the target audience and air time, and compare it to similar shows.

Francesca Gottschalk from the OECD’s Centre for Educational Research and Innovation presents at the Ask an Expert Webinar: How can education support child empowerment?
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. What is a mock interview?
• A mock interview is a practice interview
that is used to help improve you interview
skills. Mock interviews can help develop
many skills such as communication skills, a
mock interview can help you answer
questions that you previously may have
been confused about it can also help you
improve interview strategies.
3. What to do to prepare for a interview?
• There is many things that you could do to
help prepare you for a interview for
example you could research into the
company this would show that you have a
interest in the company and have took time
to look in to it. You could also practice
common interview questions this would
you feel more confident when doing the
actual interview.
• You could also bring passport or birth
certificate alongside your National
Insurance number.
4. BBC pitch
• We were asked to pitch an idea for a tv
show to the apprenticeship manager of the
BBC. To prepare for the pitch/interview it
was important to research into the BBC this
could make me seem like I am more
interested if I already know facts about the
company.
5. Research into the BBC
The BBC stands for the British broadcasting corporation it is has been around for 100 years. The
BBC has a revenue of £5.064 billion.
The BBC is publicly funded and make their money through the public buying a tv licenses which
allows access to all media produced by the BBC. The annual cost of a tv license is approximately
£159 per household, however a black and white alternative is also available for the lower price of
approximately £54 and their is also discounts available if you have a hearing or visual impairment.
With the BBC being publicly funded they do not give out cash prizes on the game shows that they
produce or if they do any competition over the radio the winner will not receive a cash prize. the
BBC can not compete for the same audience as other broadcasters. This was good to know as it
involves the idea for my pitch
The BBC is meant to appeal to a more niche audience. The BBC have different divisions for example
BBC news, BBC sport, BBC radio, BBC weather and the main division is BBC television. BBC
television has many different tv channels that provide entertainment. Each channel is different with
what they post and who the target audience is, for example BBC 1 is the BBC's main channel that
show a lot of the more popular programs for example match of the day and EastEnders, the main
target audience for this channel would be 35 and over. BBC 2 is the BBC's second most popular tv
channel they feature tv shows such as top gear, the target audience for BBC 2 would be for a wider
target audience for example 25-50 as they have very varied programs on BBC 2. BBC 3 has just
recently moved back to television after being on the BBC iPlayer. the target audience for BBC is
around 16-34 they feature shows such as RuPaul's drag race uk, Gavin and Stacey, this country and
bad education. The BBC also has channels for a younger audience as well for example CBBC and
CBeebies. For CBBC the target audience would be people 7-15.
6. The pitch
• After finishing researching into the company I stated
my presentation for my pitch.
• I stated my pitch by giving a short but detailed
summary of what I wanted my show to be, I followed
up the summary with what BBC channel I think my
show would do the best on.
• I then spoke about the target audience and who they
are and why I think it would appeal to that target
audience.
• After speaking about the target audience I spoke
about what time of air I think it should air on I had to
research similar shows scheduling time so that it
would not clash with shows that it is similar too.
• I finished the pitch by speaking about budgeting and
what shows it is similar too.
