Exploraberg is a Chilean mobility startup focused on electric and sustainable transportation solutions. Chile has significant potential in renewable energy like solar and lithium reserves, positioning it to be a leader in electric vehicles and battery technology. Exploraberg aims to establish smart electric mobility in Chile and worldwide over three stages from 2017-2020 to help address climate change. The startup will explore existing electric transport options, scout pilot project opportunities, and help share knowledge through events, trials, and partnerships.

2. Chile is Latin America’s technological leader in Renewable Energy applications,
first in Solar Energy, fotovoltaics, LiH-production and battery storage, etc. Best
proof: students from UDP (Diego Portales University) constructed their own hybrid
solar pedelec-like vehicle, incl. external PV-charger, to compete during last
Atacama-Solar-Competition: 4th position and award in ‘best design’!

3. Electromobility is real megatrend for next 20-30 years in the entire world! Cities like
Santiago de Chile with severe pollution problems in winter season is one of the big
“3” in Latin America, Sao Paulo and Mexico City. - Electric buses are the solution
of different electric transport systems. Media like eBikes, EV’s (cars and vans), even
subway, tramway and urban trains are the response to replace the fossil fueled
vehicles. – Since 2015 Exploraberg is conceptual ‘flagship’ in this direction.

4. Why electromobility is so important for Chile?
Chile is prime-country in Latin America’s Atacama-Desert-Triangle between
Argentina and Bolivia. It posess big part of world lithium reserves and also best
potential in solar energy and copper (eDrive material). After ‘Silicon Valley’ in
California, the driest desert of the world will be the ‘circulary industrial valley 4.0’ in
near future.

6. Matchmaking during World of Energy Solutions-fair, Stuttgart, oct 10-12 2016
Lithium-battery is now common storage system, but not at all: hydrogen is
another e-driver, more in heavy duty transport system than in car industry,
actually.

7. Hiring common eBike for one week in Porto, Portugal (nov’16) is best practise for
future trials in this category. Learn and compare by bike-riding, just for fun.

8. Chileans have actually more interest in electric mobility, but without to change
their habits significant. Exploraberg is just there in the right moment to inform and
propose creative solutions and oportunities to the Andean región.
 There is a big variety of electric driven vehicles.
