Chloe and her friend Alice decide to play the midnight game, which summons the midnight man. They recite the incantation to welcome him. Strange events start occurring in the house - Alice becomes possessed and threatens Chloe and her brother Matt with a knife. They hide from Alice but she finds them. In the climax, a possessed Alice grabs Chloe from behind after Chloe hears her whispering.

Trailer Script

EXT. FAMILY HOME – NIGHT
ESTABLISING SHOT. Its dark, light turns on through
downstairs window.
Non-diegetic music starts.
INT. STAIRS – NIGHT
HIGH ANGLE SHOT. CHOLE is at the bottom of the stairs.
MATT is out of shot upstairs.
CHLOE:
Matt you better be in bed!
MATT:
I am!
CHLOE:
Alright, Night!
MATT:
Night!
Diegetic knock on the door. CLOSE UP. CHLOE looks towards
the door. LONG SHOT. CHLOE walks towards the door.
INT.LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT. CHLOE opens the door, ALICE is
there, she walks in.
CHLOE:
What are you doing here?
ALICE:
I’m bored, and were going to have fun
CHLOE:

What?
ALICE:
We’re going to play midnight
ALICE walks back into living room, CHLOE follows.
INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
LOW ANGLE SHOT. CHLOE and ALICE are looking up the rules
to Midnight game on the laptop.
ALICE:
Seems easy enough
CHLOE:
Alice I don’t know if we should do this, what if it goes
wrong?
ALICE:
It’s just a game.
CLOSE UP. They turn off the lights. Hold candles under
their faces.
ALICE & CHLOE:
We welcome in the midnight man.
They blow out the candles. Fade to black.
INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
MATT, CHLOE and ALICE are at the front door trying to
leave. (GROUP SHOT)
CHLOE:
COME ON OPEN UP!
INT. LANDING – NIGHT
CHLOE looks over her shoulder, looking worried and
distressed. (MID SHOT.)
INT. KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
ALICE (possessed) walks through the rooms carrying a
knife. (LOW ANGLE, LONG SHOT)
INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT
MATT and CHLOE are hiding in a corner in his bedroom to
hide from ALICE. They are frightened and scared.

INT. KITCHEN – NIGHT
ALICE is alone in the kitchen, she see’s something on the
door. She shines her light on the note. (OVER THE SHOULDER
SHOT) she moves closer to see a note saying ‘DON’T TRY TO
RUN ALICE’ as she goes to touch the note *loud diegetic
‘BANG’ her light goes off.
INT. BATHROOM – NIGHT
CHLOE’s hands are covered in blood, she screams.
INT. KICHEN/LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
ALICE looks down and smiles menacingly. (LOW ANGLE MID
SHOT)
INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
In complete darkness CHLOE is alone and is trying to get
her light on. She hears a whisper.
CHLOE:
Alice is that you?
CHLOE’s light comes back on, she shines it behind her
(OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT)
ALICE:
(Whispering) I’m here.
CHLOE turns back, A possessed ALICE grabs her from behind.
