A 54-year-old female patient experienced monoparesis in her left upper limb that almost completely recovered within a week with medical treatment. An MRI and MRA found an acute infarct in the territory of the right middle cerebral artery and stenosis of the middle cerebral artery and right internal carotid artery. The patient had previously undergone right internal carotid artery stenting and was now planned for middle cerebral artery stenting using a drug-eluting coronary stent. She was discharged 3 days after the stenting procedure.
